With the release of Genshin Impact’s new 2.3 gadget, the Omni-Ubiquity Net, players are able to replicate creatures in the open world to place inside of the Serenitea Pot. Though, there are some limitations when it comes to the creatures that can be obtained. As shown in the Archive under Living Beings and Wildlife, creatures that are able to be caught will have a Net icon in the top left corner of the creature’s portrait.

As seen in the “Bantan Sango Case Files: The Warrior Dog” event, players will be able to obtain the upgraded net gadget after completing the World Quest “Omni-Ubiquity Net” given by the NPC Sango. The Omni-Ubiquity net is a single-use gadget that can be purchased from the NPC Wakamurasaki up to five times per week at 10,000 Mora each. There is a myriad of creatures that players can meet during the exploration of Teyvat's vast map. Many of these creatures can be found in fairly common places while others require a keener eye to spot in the wild.

Players should approach each creature carefully as many of them startle easily and may run off before allowing players the chance to capture them. Ideally, players will want to switch into Walk Mode upon spotting the creature they would like to obtain. Then, they should slowly inch forward until the creature falls within the Omni-Ubiquity Net’s range. If players are careful enough, they can have their favorite creatures join Paimon in Genshin Impact’s Serenitea Pot.

Of the Pigeon variations in Genshin Impact, White, Graywing, Crimsonflank, and Black King can be found in front of the NPC Timmy at the entrance of Mondstadt. Players can use the Teleport Waypoint just outside of Mondstadt to find them easily. The Brightcrown Pigeon, however, can be found near Genshin Impact’s Adventurer’s Guild in Liyue on a bridge beside the NPC Chaoxi. The Pigeons are huddled together, so players should approach from either side of the bridge rather than the middle.

Finches are among the most common creatures. Crimson Finches can be found on the bridge to the immediate left of the Teleport Waypoint in Qingce Village – where players can learn the recipe for Qingce Stir Fry in Genshin Impact – or on Stormbearer Point hiding below the tall grass. Golden and Emerald Finches can be found along the bridge below Jueyun Karst. Snow Finches can be found below Starfell Lake’s Teleport Waypoint along the dirt road.

Other winged creatures include the Violet Ibis and Crow. Both of these creatures can be found in Inazuma, though the Violet Ibis is most often seen near bodies of water. For a quick capture, players can use the Teleport Waypoint between Musoujin Gorge and Nazuchi Beach to find the Violet Ibis a few steps away. Crows can be found along the steps ascending Grand Narukami Shrine.

For some creatures under the Beasts section of the Archive, players will have to survive the cold in Dragonspine for a successful capture. Snow Foxes can be found in Dragonspine on the sides of pathways or hidden away, while Snowboars are found leading up to the entrance of the Great Snowboar King. Crimson Foxes and Squirrels can be found anywhere in Teyvat, hiding among the trees and tall grass. Kitsunes can be found around Inazuma; there is one to the immediate left of the Konda Village Teleport Waypoint.

Among the widely recognized creatures are the Cats. Few types can already be found in the Serenitea Pot in Genshin Impact, but players can also catch the Gray Snow Cat and a Cat named Sapphire. Gray Snow Cats can be found roaming Mondstadt and the Cat’s Tail Tavern. The Cat named Sapphire can be found outside of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, which is directed by Pyro Polearm-user Hu Tao.

Weasels can be found in the variations: Snow, Red-Tailed, and Boot. As the name states, Snow Weasels are found in Dragonspine. They tend to hide less than Snow Foxes, so players should be extra careful when approaching as they blend into the snow. Red-Tailed Weasels can be found south of the Kujou Encampment in Inazuma or trapped inside the large Amber formed along Liyue’s Mt. Hulao. Players can easily break the stone with a character that uses a Claymore weapon in Genshin Impact.

Under the Other category of the Archive, players can find obtainable creatures that usually provide resources for other features such as cooking in Genshin Impact. Crystalflies come in the following variations: Anemo, Electro, Cryo, and Geo. As the names suggest, Anemo Crystalflies can be found in Mondstadt, Electro Crystalflies can be found in Inazuma, Cryo Crystalflies can be found in Dragonspine, and Geo Crystalflies can be found in Liyue. These Crystalflies can be used to create Condensed Resin.

Sunset, Golden, and Sunny Loaches can be found along the shores of Liyue’s Dihua Marsh. Normal Frogs and Mud Frogs can be found along the edges of small bodies of water, though Mud Frogs are better at camouflaging themselves. Blue Frogs are known to appear around cleaner, clearer waters such as the lake surrounding the Springvale Teleport Waypoint. These Frogs can also be used to make Potions at Genshin Impact’s improved crafting bench.

Farming crabs in Genshin Impact is a popular activity due to the fact that crabs are an essential ingredient for powerful buff dishes. Golden, Sun, and Ocean Crabs can be found on beaches and shores of Mondstadt and Liyue, while General and Pale Red Crabs can be found on the beaches of Inazuma. As for Lizards, Blue Horned, Red Horned, and Green Horned can be found anywhere while Pith Lizards can only be found in Inazuma. Players can also destroy plant structures such as grass or small trees to spawn them. Adorned Unagi and Red-Finned Unagi can be found poking out of the sandbanks of Inazuma.

As players begin to explore for new Genshin Impact Serenitea Pot companions, it is important to remember to keep distance and be aware of surroundings as there can be creatures lurking nearby. If players are ever unsure of a creature’s ability to be captured, they can check the Archive under Living Beings and Wildlife. Players can also deploy the Omni-Ubiquity Net at will to see if it takes. Genshin Impact players have the entire map of Teyvat to explore and, luckily, four possible Serenitea Pot Realms to fill.
