Oceanic Defender is the final Theme of the Genshin Impact's Fleeting Colors In Flight Event, featuring an enormous serpentine aquatic boss known as Beisht. To receive the best rewards in Oceanic Defender, players will need to defeat the Beisht a total of six times. These prizes include Primogems ×180, Mora ×90,000, and Conquest Talismans ×2,220. Conquest Talismans are one of the event currencies required for obtaining a free 4-star Liyue character offered by Fleeting Colors In Flight. They can also be used to purchase valuable items from the Afterglow Market Stage 3.

On the other hand, those wishing to vanquish Beisht within specific parameters will be rewarded for their extra effort with more Mora and Hero's Wits. For example, defeating Beisht while avoiding her Jetstream attack and before she can dive four times will reward players with Mora ×60,000 and Hero's Wit ×6. Keep in mind that the Fleeting Colors In Flight Event and its four Themes will end on February 12, 2022. Hence, Genshin Impact fans should do their best to complete all of Oceanic Defender's challenges before it's too late.

Before venturing into Beisht's lair, it is recommended that players consider the boss's Elemental Resistances. As a Hydro enemy, Beisht has a 70% Resistance to Hydro attacks and abilities in Genshin Impact. Therefore, it would be wise for players to use party members that do not have the Hydro Element. Furthermore, Beisht tends to stay away from the arena grounds, making ranged characters more advantageous for dealing damage. However, the battle strategy will largely depend on the player's preference, as those with high DPS-burst characters shouldn't have trouble taking Beisht down.

The best advice to adhere to during the boss fight of Oceanic Defender is to stay on the border radius of the arena. This is because many of Beisht's telegraphed attacks and mechanics focus on dealing damage to the middle area of the arena. As a result, remaining near the edge will provide players with more opportunities to attack while avoiding damage in Genshin Impact.

Beisht's primary attacks will be flinging large bubbles at the player, yet the AoE for each attack is very recognizable by the red circles on the floor. Often, she will slam one of her heads down or use a whirling vortex, drawing the player towards the arena's center. However, as previously mentioned, staying near the edge will help the player survive such strikes. The one attack players should avoid for completing one of Oceanic Defender's optional challenges is her weaving Jetstream ability when she lowers her and spews a water beam. Overall, players should have little to no trouble defeating this easy boss in Genshin Impact.
