Genshin Impact has been a massive success, enticing millions of players to explore the expansive world of Teyvat. Since the game's release, developer miHoYo has continued to provide regular content updates for its fanbase. But as Version 1.6 nears the end of its six-week span, fans are wanting the next update to include one new region, Inazuma, which could bring about some big changes.

With no official confirmation from miHoYo about what's in store next, anything is possible. But with rumors and leaks circulating, the next one could be Genshin Impact's biggest update yet. With speculation of Version 2.0 releasing in place of 1.7, it seems likely that a lot of substantial content is coming soon.

The long-awaited region of Inazuma has been anticipated by fans for a while now.  After the Version 1.5 livestream by developer miHoYo, concept art for the teased region was released, and it only seemed natural to fans that Inazuma was set to debut soon. Although Version 1.6 did not release Inazuma, it did introduce a set of temporary islands for players to enjoy. And thanks to the map leak of Genshin Impact's Inazuma region, it looks like users can expect the next region to be a vast set of islands. This seemingly means Version 1.6 is a potential prelude and hint to what can be expected in Inazuma - and how gameplay on islands could look.

Genshin Impact 1.7 Inazuma Map Leaks Explained

With Genshin Impact's Mondstadt and Liyue as a guide, there are several things that can be expected from the newest region. With Baal being the Electro Archon of Inazuma, it's likely that the Traveler will learn how to use Electro, like Anemo and Geo in the past. The area will presumably include a lot of exploration and more Statues of the Seven to find and level. From Domains to World Bosses, there will be plenty of new fighting and potential for new regional enemies, like the Geovishap Hatchlings of Liyue. And, with the continuation of the storyline, fans should have new quests and events to look forward to.

There have already been new Inazuma characters revealed for Genshin Impact, meaning players will have a host of new heroes to enjoy in the Electro region. But, it would be exciting if developer miHoYo used the nation of Inazuma's story to introduce more Dendro characters. Dendro, a Poison-style Element, belongs to the Sumeru nation which may be where Chapter 3 will take place. Since Inazuma is confirmed to be Chapter 2, introducing Dendro now would be a logical step in building up excitement for Chapter 3.

Despite all of this, miHoYo has not confirmed what the next update will entail. With so much information known about Inazuma, it makes sense for it to be released soon. And for the millions of fans waiting, Genshin Impact's Inazuma region would be the biggest thing people want to see in the next update.
