Update 3.2 has released for Genshin Impact, bringing players 5-star Dendro character and Archon of Sumeru, Nahida. As the Dendro Archon, Nahida is anticipated to be a strong character for any player that acquires her during her limited banner.

Nahida's Ascensions are locked behind materials found throughout Sumeru. From local flora and fungi, to a new boss released in Genshin Impact Update 3.2, players will have a variety of gathering tasks ahead of them if they wish to maximize the level of this tiny Archon. Due to the nature of some of these materials - especially the boss item - players will be temporarily time-gated from Nahida's highest Ascension ranks, save using Fragile Resin to expedite matters. While the timed nature of these resources can be subverted through co-op or refreshes of Genshin Impact's resin resource, players that choose to farm in their own world without resin refreshes will need to spend many days to farm for the materials required to ascend the Dendro Archon.

All Ascension Materials Required for Nahida in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact Nahida Trailer Card

Players looking to level up Nahida will need to acquire a variety of materials from across Sumeru. These materials include Dendro Crystals available from any Dendro-based world boss, Kalpalata Lotuses found on cliffs and on the surface of still water in Sumeru, Fungal Spores, and the boss materials dropped from the Dendro Hypostasis.

The quantity and rarity of materials required for an ascension increases with each successful ascension rank obtained for Nahida. The below table shows the requirements for each ascension rank of Genshin Impact's newest 5-star character, as well as a final total for those looking to acquire all the materials prior to beginning the leveling process. The Mora costs shown in the table below do not include any potential alchemy costs required for transmutation of Luminescent Pollen or Crystalline Cyst Dust through the alchemy table.

Where to Farm Quelled Creepers in Genshin Impact

Along with the release of Nahida in patch 3.2 of Genshin Impact comes additional content to the realm of Sumeru, which includes the new Dendro Hypostasis elite boss. While every other material required for the Dendro Archon's ascension could have been stockpiled before patch 3.2, the Dendro Hypostasis acts as a time-keeper for all players interested in leveling up Nahida. This is due to the resin requirement associated with opening the loot from defeating the Dendro Hypostasis, the only method of obtaining Quelled Creepers.

Players can find the boss arena for the Dendro Hypostasis south of Dar al-Shifa in the Desert area of Sumeru. From the Waypoint found to the south of Dar al-Shifa, players will find a cave entrance just below, to its south-east. Following the path within this cave, players will be able to find the boss arena for the Dendro Hypostasis.

Upon defeating the Dendro Hypostasis, players can spend 40 resin to loot the elite boss. Quelled Creeper drop rates are randomized, but with higher rates depending on the player's world level. Like other elite boss drops, at the current max world level, players can expect 2-3 of Quelled Creepers from the Dendro Hypostasis. This means that obtaining all the required boss materials would require 760 resin (on average) for players. This means either many days of grinding Genshin Impact's newest boss, or players deciding to tap into their valuable Primogems and Fragile Resins to obtain enough Quelled Creeper's to fully ascend Nahida in one day.

Where to Obtain Kalpalata Lotuses in Genshin Impact

Throughout Sumeru, there are currently only 52 known spawns of Kalpalata Lotuses. Since these flowers became available to players starting in patch 3.0, players may already have a bunch of these materials lying around. Players who used this material to ascend Tighnari, or who haven't grabbed many Kalpalata Lotuses during their travels, will need to spend about 2 weeks on farming these flowers to obtain enough to maximize Nahida.

The time-gated aspect of collecting these materials can be alleviated through co-op play in Genshin Impact. However, Kalpalata Lotuses are not shared with the party when collected, so only one player will be able to acquire them during co-op. Like other character materials available around the open world of Genshin Impact, Kalpalata Lotuses will respawn after three days of being picked. This makes gathering this resource particularly time-consuming for players who wish to obtain these materials from just their own world.

Best Fungus Enemy Farm Location in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact Fungus Monster Farm Location

Farming for fungal spores in Genshin Impact can prove problematic for some players, as this ascension material is the very first material to have its drop rates altered by the element used to fight the monster it is obtained from. Fungal creatures, a type of enemy released with Genshin Impact's Sumeru region, will change states if affected by Electro or Pyro. Unfortunately, this change of state makes the enemy more likely to drop the inactivated versions of the material, which cannot be used to ascend Nahida. It is therefore recommended that players do not use Electro or Pryo characters while fighting against fungal monsters when farming for fungal spores.

Players will naturally come across fungal monsters while exploring Sumeru, which in addition to Genshin Impact's Adventurer Handbook, should have players fighting as many fungi as they could wish. However, one exceptionally dense location farmers will not want to miss is the area below the Jadeplume Terrorshroom. Located in the Northwest of Sumeru, the Jadeplume Terrorshroom is an elite boss released in patch 3.0 of Genshin Impact. Interestingly, unlike the many other elite bosses available for players to fight, players can travel below this boss's arena. Located below the arena are a bunch of fungal enemies players can kill daily to acquire a decent amount of fungal spores, helping players obtain the materials necessary for Nahida's ascensions in Genshin Impact.
