As was made apparent quite early on, Inazuma is filled with extremely powerful enemies that can prove quite difficult for underprepared players. While venturing the wilds of the isolationist island nation, players will need to keep their wits about them and practice caution during combat to avoid unnecessary defeats.
Every opponent in Genshin Impact can be defeated with the right characters, team builds, and weapons, but Inazuma's bosses introduce unique and challenging mechanics into their encounters. Some bosses and challenges were expected out of Genshin Impact's newest region, but a few have proved more difficult than others. For players trying to locate Inazuma's biggest threats in the latest Genshin Impact update, look no further than the following three bosses lurking throughout the game's terrifying new nation.
One of the most frustrating battles of the Inazuma update is with an enemy known as the Perpetual Mechanical Array. At several points during the fight, the creature will become immune to all player attacks. During this time, minions will spawn around the combat zone. Players must locate and destroy the correct minion in order to continue damaging the Perpetual Mechanical Array. While this isn't a brand new boss mechanic, it's implemented in such a way that players are forced to shift their focus multiple times during an already difficult boss fight. It can be challenging to adapt to this style of combat, but skilled fighters will be able to anticipate which minion to slay and formulate the best methods to efficiently defeat this new Genshin Impact enemy.
Genshin Impact's Inazuma Bosses Block Players' Paths In Many Ways
Archon Baal was expected to be a powerful foe, but the challenges she would present to players during her battle was a deadly surprise to many. When the Genshin Impact community was introduced to Shogun Baal, they quickly became aware of her plot to steal the Visions (powers) of her subjects in order to power a mysterious ritual. This is an ability that makes an appearance during her fight with the Traveler and their companions. Her boss fight begins with slow sword strikes, which players can take advantage of with ranged or well-timed melee attacks. Baal is immune to Electro, meaning that after taking the powers of the Traveler's companions, players who have switched to an Electro Vision will also not be able to use their abilities. It is impossible to defeat Archon Baal, as her boss fight is interrupted with a timed cutscene, leaving Travelers to be saved by Thoma.
When players reach the Chinju Forest in Genshin Impact, they will encounter a barrier that prevents total exploration. In order to destroy this obstacle and move on with the story and other regional activities, the Spectral Samurai Ochimusha must first be defeated. While Ochimusha may seem like another standard samurai enemy, its powerful barrages of attacks will leave little breathing room for unprepared, stationary players. Additionally, Ochimusha's attacks feature a wide hitbox, forcing teams to retreat out of range and use structures present on the map as cover while dodging his attacks. Characters with damage-over-time or AoE abilities will prove vital in defeating this boss quickly, though Travelers intent on fighting fire with fire will have a lengthy encounter ahead.
Genshin Impact's Inazuma region is filled with difficult enemies of every variety, and it's likely that the foes standing in the way of the Traveler and their companions will only continue to become more powerful. There are still several more regions left to explore and the mystery of the Traveler's Sibling to uncover, promising many more hours of content and enemies to challenge.
