A new round of Genshin Impact leaks have allegedly revealed Yae Miko’s much-awaited addition to the game’s roster of playable characters. Yae Miko played a major part in Genshin Impact's 2.1 update; and since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting when the overseer of the Grand Narukami Shrine will be released.

The popular online RPG's current-running 2.3 update introduced a new Genshin Impact banner system. Instead of just one rerun banner, future banners may now introduce two previously released characters' banners simultaneously. This means that the first half of the update will feature two separate 5-star character rerun banners, while the second half will release the typical banner for the patch’s new characters. For the 2.3 update, Albedo and Eula were the two reruns while the banner for Arataki Itto and Gorou is scheduled to release in a little over a week.

Reddit user KisakiS2IzYWtp shared two images detailing recently leaked information on Genshin Impact’s upcoming updates, including Yae Miko’s potential release. According to the leak, which came from known Genshin Impact leaker Uncle Dumb Dumb, Yae Miko will be released in the game’s 2.5 update and the character will be a Electro element Catalyst user. The leak also claims a rerun banner will be available alongside that of Yae Miko, although the characters that will be featured in the rerun are not mentioned. Additionally, the second part of Enkanomiya will also release in the same update.

Apart from Yae Miko’s release, the leak also reveals several other details about Genshin Impact’s other upcoming updates. Genshin Impact patch 2.4 could introduce Shenhe and Yunjin, along with another rerun banner - as well as the first part of the aforementioned Enkanomiya region. As for the updates following the release of Yae Miko, patch 2.6 is projected to add Kamisato Ayato, the elder brother of Ayaka, into the game; while the 2.7 update could unlock the mysterious Chasm area of the world. Lastly, the leak claims miHoYo will hold another Island rerun before the release of the likely major 3.0 update.

If the leaks prove to be accurate, then those anxiously waiting for when Genshin Impact's Yae Miko becomes playable won’t have to wait too long with the game's typical six-week interval between patches. If miHoYo’s schedule doesn’t change, then players can expect the game’s 2.5 update on February 16, 2022, which is only two months from now. If anything, it’ll at least give fans time to hoard Primogems and Wishes in preparation of Yae Miko’s arrival.
