Kujou Sara is a playable 4-star character in Genshin Impact's Version 2.1 update. She along with the Raiden Shogun were promotional characters during the first half of the update. Despite the Banner ending, Kujou Sara isn't a limited character like the Raiden Shogun and will be added to the standard pool of characters that can be pulled in Wishes. As one of the new Electro users in the game, Kujou Sara offers unique Talents compared to other Electro characters.

Kujou Sara, also known as the tengu warrior, is a general of the Tenryou Commission who serves the Raiden Shogun. As a playable character in Genshin Impact, she wields a bow in battle and uses ranged Electro attacks. Her primary role within a team is to deal AOE Electro damage to surrounding enemies while offering support to her allies with her Talents.

Sara's role as a support DPS means players will switch her between characters often in combat. She has the ability to temporarily increase the active character's ATK stats, resulting in more damage. Another one of her Talents will charge her allies' Energy Recharge, allowing quicker and consistent Elemental Burst uptime for the party. Kujou Sara may not be the strongest in terms of dealing damage to enemies, but her ability to provide strong support makes her stand out compared to others.

How Kujou Sara Is Different Than Other Electro Characters In Genshin Impact

Kujou Sara commands her army in Genshin Impact

Many Electro characters in Genshin Impact consist of either offensive main damage dealers or sub-DPS units. Characters like Keqing and Razor are meant to stay active on the field as long as possible to defeat enemies. Sub-DPS characters like the Raiden Shogun and Lisa focus on inflicting high damage in short bursts, usually being switched out for the main DPS afterward. Allies like Fischl and Beidou are strong at infusing enemies with Electro, allowing players to trigger Elemental Reactions like Overload, Electro-Charged, or Superconduct.

Kujou Sara, on the other hand, focuses on increasing ally performance in battle, in a similar way Bennet does in the game. Both characters have the potential to deal damage while simultaneously aiding other party members. Depending on how players build Kujou Sara in Genshin Impact, she can further boost other character's stats resulting in better performance during combat.

In comparison to other Electro characters in Genshin Impact, she can't consistently help trigger Elemental Reactions like the Raiden Shogun, Fischl, or Beidou because her Electro attacks aren't active once she leaves the field. Despite this, Kujou Sara is currently the only Electro character that can provide an ATK boost for allies in the game. What makes Kujou Sara a reliable asset is her flexibility to fit into almost any team, which is why players should consider investing in building her for battle.
