A player of open-world RPG Genshin Impact has come across a glitch that causes Kazuha to die after using his elemental skill, Chihayaburu. The game bug was shared to Reddit in a video post that has since gone on to cause a stir within the community. Genshin Impact is one of the most popular free-to-play games in the world, and it's hope the unfortunate glitch will soon be fixed by the game's developer.

Genshin Impact has wowed players since it first launched in 2020 but, like lots of ever-evolving titles, the game isn't free from bugs and glitches. While Genshin Impact consistently receives patches and generally provides a smooth and bug-free experience, there have been plenty of issues that have hampered players' time with the game. One of the most recent game bugs came with the release of the game's 2.0 update, and saw some players able to reach the new region of Inazuma without hitting the Adventure Rank 30 requirement outlined by Genshin Impact.

Reddit user and Genshin Impact fan Troller122 has shown the Kazuha glitch in action in a Reddit post with over 10,000 upvotes from the community. The video, which can be seen below, shows the player's Kazuha dying immediately after using his Chihayaburu Midare Ranzan attack plunge ability. Questioning the glitch, the Redditor asked:

"Why is this glitch back again, got kazuha since release with no issues but now he just dies when I use his ability. Does anyone else have this problem?"

While many were quick to poke fun at the glitch, a number of commenters noted that they'd also come across a similar bug when playing the game.

The Genshin Impact video has seen a handful of comments from those who've experienced the same glitch within their own games. One user said it happened to them in the same location when using a plunge attack move, perhaps suggesting the bug is related to the area of the map or move type, and not specifically to the character. This theory is backed by another user saying that after experiencing the glitch themselves, they believe it's related to the plunge attack, with the game possibly believing the character has fallen from a great height. Genshin Impact developer miHoYo hasn't responded to the bug at the time of writing, and its exact cause and a fix for the problem are still unknown.

Genshin Impact's developer will hopefully release a new game update and patch to fix the glitch soon. The team is currently preparing for the release of the game's next big update, version 2.3, which is expected to release later this year. miHoYo has been cracking down on Genshin Impact leaks ahead of the launch in the hopes of keeping the game's new areas, quests, and characters under wraps. Hopefully, a fix for the Redditors' glitch will arrive before Genshin Impact 2.3.
