During the Genshin Impact Version 3.3 update, Kamisato Ayato will have a promotional Banner that players can attempt to pull on. Several other characters like Kujou Sara, Rosaria, and Sayu will also be featured along with Ayato, giving fans an opportunity to acquire the various 4-star characters. Kamisato Ayato faces tough competition as there are other 5-star characters who are stronger than him, but his impressive abilities are unique enough to make him stand out.

Kamisato Ayato in Genshin Impact wields a sword in battle and uses the Hydro Vision. He primarily focuses on Hydro application having Talents that can apply on and off-filed Hyrdo status to enemies. This makes him a reliable main DPS or Sub-DPS character who can either support allies or be the Hypercarry attacker.

Genshin Impact: Kamisato Ayato's Strengths

Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayato's Strengths

Kamisato Ayato's Elemental Skill allows him to enter an offensive state where all his Normal Attacks deal Hydro damage to enemies. His damage output will also increase significantly, which makes him a powerful damage dealer who can be effective in boss battles or facing waves of opponents. The Hydro element is also considered one of the best Elemental Reactions in Genshin Impact and due to Ayato's offensive playstyle, players can use other supports and sub-DPS characters like Xiangling to help him trigger these reactions.

Kamisato Ayato's Elemental Burst will rain down water droplets within a large area for an extended period of time. The Talent will remain in effect even if players decide to switch Ayato off-field in favor of another character. Instead of Ayato being the one triggering reactions, he can be an essential Hydro enabler with this ability and will be the one who supports other allies.

Genshin Impact: Kamisato Ayato's Weaknesses

Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayato's Weaknesses

Despite Ayato being strong in both a DPS and sub-DPS role, he falls slightly behind when comparing him to other Hydro characters in Genshin Impact. If players need a stronger on-field Hydro damage dealer, then Childe (Tartaglia) would be the better option because his Hydro application far exceeds Ayatos. For off-field Hydro enablers, other characters like Kokomi or Xingqiu are more effective and can offer more than just damage like healing. Additionally, properly building Ayato can be difficult for free-to-play players as there are few f2p weapon selections that synergize with Ayato.

Kamisato Ayato also requires strict stats in order to be utilized correctly. He is dependent on his Elemental Burst; therefore, players must increase his Energy Recharge. Ayato is also a damage dealer so increasing his ATK%, Crit rate, and Crit damage is necessary. Players will no doubt need to farm for the right Artifacts in Genshin Impact, which uses resources and time. Ayato may not be the best in any specific category, but his ability to transition into different roles can result in him being an incredible asset for players.
