Kazuha is the newest playable character coming to Genshin Impact. In recent days, developer miHoYo has shared a lot of insights into his personality and backstory, as well as what kinds of Talents and Skills he'll have once his Banner is added. For those looking to pull Kazuha in the free-to-play RPG, here's everything to know about him before he becomes playable.
Kaedehara Kazuha, also known as the Ronin of Inazuma, is an Anemo user who wields swords in combat. Many of his attacks are animated with leaves and wind, giving his attacks more of an emphasis on nature. Although character leaks for Kazuha in Genshin Impact 1.6 were prevalent, he wasn't officially confirmed until miHoYo's 1.6 livestream last month. Now, his Banner will be arriving once Klee's rerun ends next week.
Excitement for Kazuha is pretty high, partially because he's the first character from Inazuma to appear in-game. Although several other Inazuma characters like Yoimiya and Sayu have been announced already, they don't have confirmed release dates. And while the long-awaited new region is still absent from the game, the latest Genshin Impact trailer for Kazuha shows off his moves and backstory, and miHoYo has since given out additional details on what players can expect if they manage to pull Kazuha through the Wish system.
Genshin Impact: Kazuha's Talents & Skills Explained
Kazuha's Normal Attack is called Garyuu Bladework, which performs up to five rapid strikes in a row. His Charged Attack for this unleashes two full sword swings for more damage. As usual, the Charged Attack consumes Stamina. His Plunging Attack, Midare Ranzan, creates a small wind tunnel to pull in surrounding enemies and objects. Kazuha's Chihayaburu Talent is an AoE that deals Anemo DMG and lifts enemies into the air.
Kazuha also has the ability to leave behind an Anemo AoE called Autumn Whirlwind, and it will deal additional Elemental DMG when combined with Hydro, Cryo, Electro, or Pyro. miHoYo is billing him as a support character when Kazuha's Banner releases in Genshin Impact, so these moves should help players amp up their damage output.
Kazuha is expected to arrive in Genshin Impact next week as part of the Version 1.6 content. So far, he's the only new character to be promoted as playable in this update, so many people may try to pull him. Until more Inazuma characters are released, Kazuha will also serve as somewhat of an introduction to that nation's culture and people.
