Genshin Impact's Hues of the Violet Garden event will feature multiple avenues of gameplay and a slew of different rewards for players who complete it. As one of the premier additions of Genshin Impact 2.6 - alongside The Chasm and, of course, Kamisato Ayato - Hues of the Violet Garden will feature a festival celebration called the Magnificent Irodori Festival.
The Magnificent Irodori Festival will take place in Inazuma, and the Hues of the Violet Garden event will feature Kamisato Ayato alongside other popular characters from the ever-expanding lineup of Genshin Impact heroes. During the event, players will organize the Irodori Festival and take part in four different gameplay modes that will be unlocked in a sequence based on their progression. Completing the Hues of the Violet Garden event will reward players with Primogems, a Crown of Insight, and the ability to invite Xingqiu to their party.
4-star Genshin Impact character invitations are fairly rare, and Xingqiu is one of the game's best characters regardless of star rating. That means completing the Hues of the Violet Garden event should be an especially high priority for players, even those who don't always grind through an entire event. Here's how to participate in the Hues of the Violet Garden event and earn Genshin Impact's Primogem rewards as a result.
Genshin Impact: Hues of the Violet Garden Gameplay Modes
Hues of the Violet Garden will feature four different gameplay modes: The Moon and Stars Inscribe, Theater Mechanicus, Clash of Lone Blades, and The Floral Courtyard. The "Legends of the Kasen" questline will guide players through the various iterations of each of these gameplay modes, and "Friendship in Writing" is the questline that will unlock Xingqiu as a free character invite. Simply completing the rest of the gameplay modes in Hues of the Violet Garden will likely be enough to invite Xingqiu, who has four requirements: completing the parting-themed poem, obtaining a score of 1500 in Springtide Advent: Show of Force, achieving victory in "Versus the Mightiest Warrior!" on Serious or higher difficulty, and completing the fourth floral theme in the event.
More specifically, each of the gameplay modes in Hues of the Violet Garden will focus on a different part of Genshin Impact. The Moon and Stars Inscribe will have players taking pictures of specific areas for inspiration, while the return of Theater Mechanicus will see players navigating tower defense-style setups once more. Clash of Lone Blades will be a series of duels against swordmasters, forcing the Traveler to fend them off while granting them a new Parry skill to help. Finally, The Floral Courtyard will let players solve puzzles regarding flower arrangements for the festival.
Genshin Impact: Hues of the Violet Garden Rewards
Each of the four Hues of the Violet Garden gameplay modes will award Primogems, Ascension Materials, Talent Level-Up Materials, and Mora. Progression through the main Legends of the Kasen questline will eventually lead players to achievements that reward a Crown of Insight as well, making the event well-worth the grind.
The most important Hues of the Violet Garden reward is the ability to invite Xingqiu to a Genshin Impact party, however. The 4-Star Hydro character is a fixture of many budget-friendly Genshin Impact teams, and remains one of the best all-around characters in the game, offering a unique combination of healing and Hydro application that makes him slot into even the most creative lineups well as an anchor. If for no other reason that earning the ability to invite Xingqiu, it's highly recommended that players complete as much of the Hues of the Violet Garden event as is required to earn the powerful Genshin Impact character.
