A new skin for Fischl has been released in Genshin Impact, and players can get it for free in Version 2.8. New outfits are the only way to customize characters in Genshin Impact, and while there aren't many in the game as of yet, Version 2.8 has come with two costumes–one for Diluc and one for the beloved Electro princess Fischl.
Fischl's outfit, entitled "Ein Immernachtstraum," can be obtained by participating in the new Version 2.8 event, "Resonating Visions." If players don't get the outfit during Version 2.8, they'll still be able to obtain it after the update. However, they will have to purchase it for 1980 Genesis Crystals from the store.
"Resonating Visions" is available only to players above Adventure Rank 32 who have completed the Archon Quest "Chapter II: Prologue - Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves," as well as Mona's Story Quest. This will unlock the Golden Apple Archipelago. It's important to note that if players want to get Diluc's new skin in Genshin Impact, they don't need to complete these quests and can purchase it immediately from the store.
How to Unlock Fischl's New Skin in Genshin Impact
Throughout the Golden Apple Archipelago, players will be able to find Phantasmal Conches, which are blue shells scattered around the map. Collecting these will give the player a glimpse into the lore of the Archipelago but can also be used in the Summertime Odyssey Event Shop to purchase Fischl's new skin. The new outfit keeps Fischl's classic purple color scheme but adds an edgy yet elegant flair with a new spiky headpiece, royal puffed sleeves, and a ruffled blouse above her corset in Genshin Impact.
Players who don't have Fischl can also obtain her for free during Version 2.8. Once players activate the Summertime Odyssey quest, they'll have to complete all five of the quests within the event, from "Surfpiercer" to the final "Phantom Realm" quest. Completing these quests will grant the player with Primogems, Hero's Wits, Mystic Enhancement Ores, and Iridescent Flotsams. Iridescent Flotsams can be used to purchase Fischl from the Event Shop.
Players will be able to obtain Fischl and her new outfit for free until the end of Genshin Impact Version 2.8, approximately around August 24. Many players believe that Version 3.0 and the release of the new region Sumeru will follow Genshin Impact's 2.8 update, so players should make sure to finish all the new Story Quests they can participate in preparation for the new region's release.
