Update 2.8 of Genshin Impact brings several new things to the game, including a new outfit for Diluc. The outfit is known as Red Dead of Night and is one of the two new outfits being added in version 2.8, the other outfit being for Fischl. Diluc has been in the game since launch and is a powerful addition to nearly any party due to his skill in pyro and claymores.
Read Dead of Night changes Diluc’s outfit appearance, of course, but it has other features too. First, it gives him a new hairstyle, which is a ponytail in a different style than his usual outfit. Then, more impressively, it provides his attacks with different appearances. It also includes additional idle animations and has new unique voice lines. It’s something that those who have put a lot of time into Genshin Impact may be interested in to keep things fresh.
Genshin Impact has come out with several different outfits since it was released in 2020. Some were even free for a limited time, like Ningguang’s Orchid’s Evening Gown in Genshin Impact. Unfortunately, Read Dead of Night for Diluc is not one of the free outfits for players; however, it is cheaper upon the release of update 2.8 than it will be later, so now is the best time to get it.
Purchasing Diluc’s Red Dead of Night Outfit in Genshin Impact
Players can purchase Diluc’s outfit Read Dead of Night through Genshin Impact’s in-game store using Primogens. When version 2.8 of the game releases, it will cost players 1980 Genesis Crystals for the outfit. This is a discounted price, and once the promotional period ends on July 22, 2022, it will revert to its original price of 2480 Genesis Crystals. Since version 2.8 of Genshin Impact releases on July 13, 2022, this gives players a little over a week to get it for this special price. It is also important to note that players can purchase the outfit even if they don’t currently have Diluc as a character. When they pull him in a wish, they can equip the outfit for Diluc.
Requiring Genesis Crystals means that it isn't possible to get the Red Dead of Night outfit without spending real money. Still, players can gather Primogems simply by playing the game and saving them up when they are periodically doled out. There are some easy ways to get Primogems fast in Genshin Impact, but generally, accumulating Primogems is a slow process. Players can convert Genesis Crystals into Primogems, but it might be better to save them for special items like Diluc's new outfit, which costs approximately $30 at its special price.
