Genshin Impact’s newest event of Version 1.5 is called “Mimi Tomo,” in which players are tasked with helping Hilichurlian researcher Ella Musk in her quest to communicate with the Hilichurls. These Hilichurlians will request the player for items, in exchange for information on the Unusual Hilichurl the player is tasked with defeating.

Hilichurls make their item requests in Hilichurlian, meaning players will have to consult the “Handy Handbook of Hilichurlian” to translate what they want. Here’s what ‘Lata Boya Sada’ is, and how to get it to complete the quest.

What is Lata Boya Sada

By opening up Ella’s Hilichurlian translation guide, players will have access to a long list of Hilichurlian words and their different connotations. While early Hilichurl requests, as well as timings, may be directly translatable, later requests require some thinking to figure out.

The second hilichurl in this event will ask players to bring them ‘Lata Boya Sada’. According to the handbook, ‘Boya’ is a color indicator. ‘Lata boya’ specifically means blue. Right above this, Ella has written that ‘Sada’ means solid or hard. Putting these translations together indicates that the Hilichurl wants a solid, blue object. Thus, it can be deduced that the Hilichurl is asking for a blue ore. Judging by the items available to give the Hilichurl, this means players should give the Hilichurl either a Crystal Chunk or a Magical Crystal Chunk.

Crystal Chunks are a shiny teal ore that can be found throughout Mondstadt and Liyue. They’re important for crafting rare equipment and materials, so it’s important to have a stash of them on deck. Crystal Chunks are available all around Teyvat, but spawn in larger veins in Stormterror’s Lair, Qingyun Peak, and Jueyun Karst. Using a claymore character will allow players to easily farm these ores. Crystal Chunks can also be obtained through expeditions available at the Adventurer’s Guild.

Magical Crystal Chunks are a blue crystal ore found amongst clusters of regular Crystal Chunks. Magical Crystal Chunks are rarer, and can currently only be used to forge Mystic Enhancement Ores. Magical Crystal Ores only span after players reach Adventure Rank 30.

While Crystals in Genshin can be difficult to find sometimes, the Hilichurl only requires one, so players should already have the item in their inventory to complete the quest. After giving the Hilichurl the desired item, it will inform the player where the Unusual Hilichurl that needs to be defeated is. Defeating the Unusual Hilichurl will gift primogems and furniture blueprints, so players will want to brush up on their Hilichurlian to complete the Mimi Tomo event before the event ends!
