Along with the addition of a new playable Geo character Yun Jin, Genshin Impact 2.4 introduces Enkanomiya, a brand-new location in the Inazuma region that features new world mechanics and challenging puzzles, such as "open(ing) the great door" to unexplored ancient ruins. However, before players investigate the new areas of the map, they must first fulfill the prerequisites for unlocking Enkanomiya.
The entrance to Enkanomiya in Genshin Impact is located in Watatsumi Island. Players will find a large swirling pool near the island's center that grants access to 2.4's new area. However, the entrance remains locked until the World Quest "The Still Water's Flow" has been completed. Fans can begin this quest by speaking with Tsuyuko in Watatsumi Island once they've met several requirements. First, the Traveler must reach at least Adventure Rank 30 and finish the two World Quests, "The Still Water's Flow" and "The Moon-Bathed Deep." Additionally, the Archon Quest "Chapter II: Act III - Omnipresence Over Mortals" must also be completed. Once these three prerequisites have been fulfilled, players can begin uncovering the mysteries of Enkanomiya.
After arriving on Enkanomiya in Genshin Impact 2.4, fans will start the World questline, "From Dusk to Dawn in Byakuyakoku quest series." The first quest, "The Subterranean Trials of Drake and Serpent," will have players investigating mysterious ruins. Before entering a large ancient structure, the player will encounter a strange Triangular Structure guarded by several enemies. Once the hostile mobs have been dealt with, the Traveler must "Examine the mechanism and open the great door" to progress forward.
Solving the Great Door Puzzle in Genshin Impact
From a glance, the mechanism may seem complex to some players, but the solution to the "great door" puzzle in Enkanomiya is relatively simple to understand. For a clear explanation, open the Tutorial section within the in-game index. Then, search for the "Triangular Mechanisms..." entry to see how they function. According to the description, "attacks can be used to activate the mechanism." To solve this puzzle in Genshin Impact, players need only strike the triangular structure whenever the cube symbol above it glows. Once the mechanism has triggered, the great door will open, and players can continue exploring the ruins in Enkanomiya.
Inside, head up upstairs and speak with Enjou, who will provide some lore about Enkanomiya. Afterward, players will resume their investigation in the back of an abandoned library to obtain a vital quest item known as the Golden Bridle, which allows the switching between Evernight and Whitenight in Enkanomiya.
