A fan of both Genshin Impact and Animal Crossing: New Horizons has combined their passions into a hilarious viral video, which sees Genshin Impact's strong yet rare character Diluc have his dialogue replaced with a Nintendo villager. While Animal Crossing and Genshin don't have a lot in common gameplay-wise, the two titles have been titans of gaming over the last few years, amassing millions of fans across the world.

Genshin Impact is home to plenty of exciting and beloved characters, with new faces being added into the ever-evolving title all the time. As each new character is introduced, they swiftly become one of the most-sought-after to acquire in-game, and the Pyro user Diluc Ragnvindr was no different when he arrived in Genshin Impact back in 2020. With his large claymores and generally impressive abilities, lots of people were clamoring to get their hands on Diluc, and while other, newer characters like the recently-confirmed Genshin Impact 2.6 Kamisato Ayato, have now reached the top of fans' wishlists, Diluc remains a classic 5-star fighter.

Twitter user dailyragnvindrs has created a mash-up video blending Genshin Impact with Animal Crossing, resulting in a hilarious new voice for Diluc. The clip shows a fairly serious cutscene, redubbed with the chattering and high-pitched sounds used for villagers and NPCs across the Animal Crossing series. The resulting meme video has been a hit on Twitter, with over 22,000 views at the time of writing, and lots of commenters sharing their appreciation for the funny reimagining.

The two games may be different in style and content, but there's plenty of fan creations that combine Genshin Impact and Animal Crossing, not just across social media, but also in-game. Fans of the former have used the latter's design tools and custom options to recreate areas including Mondstadt on their ACNH island, and even redesigned Genshin Impact's clothes to make them wearable within the Nintendo Switch hit.

As fans of Genshin Impact eagerly await the new content coming with the 2.6 update, players of Animal Crossing have a future a little less bright. Unlike Genshin, Animal Crossing isn't designed as a live-service, ever-growing game, and Nintendo has confirmed the title received its last major update in November last year. Animal Crossing: New Horizons might not be getting a content overhaul, but fan creations like dailyragnvindrs' help keep love for the game alive - and offer a new and hilarious take on existing Genshin Impact characters like Diluc.
