Genshin Impact's Deranged Decrepit Duelist boss in the Akitsu Kimodameshi event’s Akitsu Yuugei mini-game requires scoring 4,500 points against him to grant valuable bonus items. Simply beating the Deranged Decrepit Duelist rewards players with 60 Primogems, 30,000 Mora, and 200 Courage Test Tickets, but powering through the additional four challenges and actually getting to the 4,500 score in Akitsu Yuugei grants a haul of 120,000 Mora, four Hero’s Wits, eight Mystic Enhancement Ore, and an extra 340 Courage Test Tickets.

Courage Test Tickets can be used to buy Toukabou Shigure Refinement material in Genshin Impact, along with a plethora of other items, including Ascension and Talent Ascension materials in the Akitsu Yuugei event store. Obtaining 4,500 points against Deranged Decrepit Duelist is a must for anyone looking to max out their Courage Test Tickets. This is, however, a Shatterdark challenge, and might give players without a proper strategy a hard time.

Strategy To Score 4,500 Against Deranged Decrepit Duelist In Genshin Impact

Unlike Genshin Impact’s Gibbering Grumbler, who uses only Electro-infused bricks, the Deranged Decrepit Duelist uses Electro, Cryo, Hydro, and Pyro elementally-infused bricks. This means players looking to succeed should have at least one character of each Vision type on their team. This comp allows for more flexibility and strategic choices against the boss’ multiple elemental bricks.

Players should focus on maximizing their use of the Detonate reaction and the Detonatorball, which is obtainable when hitting a Pyro-infused Skill-Ball with an Electro-infused bar, or vice-versa. While this is the main strategy to win in Genshin Impact’s Akitsu Yuugei challenge, scoring 4,500 points against Deranged Decrepit Duelist requires a few extra steps. To get there, players must choose modifiers accordingly.

For the Deranged Decrepit Duelist Shatterdark challenge, players will rely a little bit less on Surgeball, like in the Gibbering Grumbler, so the ball will quickly be reflected back to them. Using Relative Expansion is a safe option to keep the ball in play with fewer chances of losing it. If players want an extra layer of safety while trying to score 4,500 points against Deranged Decrepit Duelist in Genshin Impact, they should use a Reflector Wall, too, which will help deal with Impact Accelerator’s faster ball in exchange for more points.

Of course, players will first need to go through the event’s storyline that unlocks the Toukabou Shigure sword in Genshin Impact, and then proceed into the Deranged Decrepit Duelist Shatterdark fight. Modifiers can and should also be alternated according to the players’ preferences and abilities. The Shatter-prise! modifier, for instance, grants extra points without the risk that Impact Accelerator imposes. Akitsu Kimodameshi's introduction in Genshin Impact 3.3 rewards many Primogems for players looking to pull for Wanderer or any of the fan-favorite character or weapon reruns.
