Genshin Impact is notorious for leaks, and the upcoming Dendro region Sumeru and its characters are no exception. The most recent Dendro leak comes from a reputable Genshin Impact leaker and provides details about two new Dendro Elemental Reactions. As only one element reacts with Dendro in Genshin Impact currently, these new additions are a useful insight into how Dendro characters could be used in the future. The only Dendro reaction that Genshin Impact players can experience in-game currently is when Pyro meets Dendro, triggering Burning. Burning deals Pyro DMG over time; however, targets must have both a Pyro and a Dendro aura simultaneously for the reaction to work.

There are no playable Dendro characters in Genshin Impact currently, but they are expected to arrive later this year coinciding with the release of Sumeru, the Dendro region. There are several known characters with Dendro Visions. The owner of Bubu Pharmacy, Baizhu, is an NPC in Genshin Impact who wears a Dendro Vision. He is a recurring character with a detailed backstory and kit, and is expected to become playable in the future. Yaoyao, who wears a Dendro Vision on her backpack, has appeared in promotional material for Genshin Impact and is referenced in several characters' voice lines. Additionally, there are several Dendro enemies in the game already, including Dendro-attuned Samachurls, Hilichurls, and Slimes.

Reputable Genshin Impact leaker, Genshin Intel, shared information about two new Elemental Reactions with Dendro. This isn't the first time the two new Dendro Elemental Reactions have been leaked, as their names were discovered in Genshin Impact 2.4's beta game files. The names revealed were Intensified and Overgrown, but it was previously unknown which elements needed to be applied to Dendro to trigger each of the Elemental Reactions. The most recent leak provides this information, including details about how each Elemental reaction works and how they're triggered.

Genshin Impact Dendro: Intensified Elemental Reaction

Genshin Impact Dendro Leaks And Rumors Dendro Electro Intensified

According to Genshin Intel, Intensified is the Elemental Reaction caused when Electro meets Dendro. When triggered, Intensified drops an Electro particle and increases both Dendro and Electro damage towards the affected opponent for 7 seconds. While it's not revealed what buff the Electro particle will grant the player, it's likely it will regenerate elemental energy, similar to the Electro elemental particles in Genshin Impact generated when a party has Electro Resonance. When collected, these particles regenerate energy for the entire party, however, characters in the party who share the particle's elemental mastery will be granted a bigger energy recharge. Therefore, Electro characters will likely receive the greatest energy recharge.

Genshin Impact Dendro: Overgrown Elemental Reaction

Genshin Impact Dendro Leaks And Rumors Dendro Hydro Overgrown

The second Elemental Reaction, Overgrown, occurs when Dendro meets Hydro. When Overgrown is triggered seeds will be dropped, fruiting mushrooms. When further Hydro is applied to the newly grown mushrooms, they will explode, dealing Dendro damage in the affected area. This sounds similar to the explosion caused by Genshin Impact's Overloaded Elemental Reaction when Electro and Pyro meet. However, unlike the Overloaded or Burning Elemental Reactions which deal Pyro DMG, Overgrown's mushrooms will deal Dendro DMG upon exploding.

While these new Dendro damage boosting Elemental Reactions are intriguing, some Genshin Impact players were disappointed at the news that Dendro only reacts with three elements: Pyro, Electro, and Hydro. According to the leak, Dendro won't react with Cryo, Anemo, or Geo, news that came as a surprise to many. However, this leak has yet to be confirmed by an official source, and it's possible additional Elemental Reactions could arrive in the future. Regardless, the new Elemental Reactions provide an interesting insight into how future Dendro characters could be used alongside Pyro, Electro, and Hydro characters.
