Genshin Impact's Cyno joins a powerful and competitive Electro element, but how do his stats compare to those of other Electro characters? Along with Pyro and Hydro, Electro has some of the most flexible and hard-hitting users. Currently sitting on the Electro throne is the Electro Archon herself, Raiden Shogun, but others like Fischl, Kuki Shinobu, Kujou Sara, and Keqing are popular and strong picks. His inflexibility will hurt Cyno, but he has a powerful kit that is strong enough to challenge the Electro Archon when it comes to being a Main DPS.

Genshin Impact 3.1 introduced players to Cyno, an Electro 5-Star Polearm user. His only suitable role is as a Main DPS, but his builds are flexible and powerful nonetheless. Cyno's abilities and talents revolve around using his burst, which will enter him into a morphed state where all his attacks will deal Electro damage. The key to using this burst is that if Cyno's Elemental Skill is used during it, the duration of the burst is expanded. This makes Cyno a hard-hitting and fast-paced combat character whose kit will revolve around having his Elemental Burst.

When it comes to comparing Cyno to other Electro users in Genshin Impact, it entirely depends on what role. Raiden is the only one who beats Cyno when it comes to being a Main DPS, but even that is slim and comes with conditions. At C0, Cyno would most likely edge out Raiden, but once Raiden Shogun reaches C2 of her Constellations, and her burst ignores 60% of opponents' defenses, she bests Cyno. This, along with Raiden's higher base Attack, make Cyno besting her nearly impossible. Raiden's ability to be a Sub DPS or Utility character also benefits her as she could be on the same team as Cyno, though it would not be as efficient as other picks. However, to Cyno's benefit, the falloff between the two is minimal, leaving it up to who players want to use more.

Genshin Impact: Cyno Is Not Helpful Outside Of Main DPS

Cyno's most significant weakness when comparing him to other Electro characters in Genshin Impact is his lack of flexibility. Many other powerful Electro characters can bounce between being a Sub DPS, Utility, or Support character for teams. Cyno cannot fill these roles as none of his abilities benefit the team when he is off the field. So even though none of the best Electro characters to build outside Raiden will rival Cyno when it comes to damage, Cyno cannot fill the other roles. So if Cyno is not being used as a Main DPS, he will not be in team compositions at all. In that regard, characters like Fischl, Kuki, and Sara, provide much more benefit than Cyno and beat him out.

Cyno is one of the most remarkable and anticipated characters in Genshin Impact, and so far, he has lived up to most of his hype as a Main DPS. Just being able to rival Raiden Shogun is an achievement in itself, and he fits into Dendro teams and their Elemental Reactions much better than she does. Since he cannot fit any other roles, Cyno may be a slight bummer for players who do not need a Main DPS. However, everything he brings to the table as a flexible Main DPS and overall strength more than makes up for that if he is built correctly.
