Fans of Genshin Impact and Fortnite have long hoped for a collaboration between the two games, spawning fan art that imagines what a Genshin Impact and Fortnite crossover could look like. As both Genshin Impact and Fortnite have a track record of multiple crossovers with other video games, a future crossover between the two isn’t out of the question. Additionally, Genshin Impact is available on the Epic Store, one of few third-party platforms players can download the desktop version of the game from.

Genshin Impact previously did a crossover with Horizon Zero Dawn, adding the game's protagonist Aloy as a playable 5-star Cryo character. Though the crossover received mixed reactions, namely due to Aloy’s abilities in Genshin Impact not living up to the expectations of a 5-star character. Coincidentally, Aloy was also added as an Outfit in Fortnite as part of the Gaming Legends Series. Genshin Impact also previously did a crossover with another HoYoverse game, Honkai Impact 3rd, which added Genshin Impact’s Fischl to the Honkaiverse.

It seems unlikely that a Fortnite character would be added to Genshin Impact as a playable character like Horizon Zero Dawn’s Aloy was, especially considering Aloy’s status as one of Genshin Impact’s weakest 5-star characters. However, seeing Genshin Impact characters added to Fortnite seems much more likely, as the popular battle royale game features dozens of licensed characters from other video games including Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft, Halo’s Master Chief, and God of War’s Kratos. If Fortnite and Genshin Impact were to collaborate, adding some of Genshin Impact’s playable characters as Outfits in Fortnite would be awesome.

Genshin Impact Fortnite Crossover Would Be Epic Fan Art Lumine Flying Alongside Battle Bus

One recent fan-made concept by droptopmk3 on Twitter (pictured above) saw Genshin Impact’s Lumine soaring through the sky above Teyvat, alongside Fortnite’s Battle Bus in a battle royale game mode. Though it's unlikely Genshin Impact would add an entire battle royale mode, it gives an exciting glimpse at what Genshin Impact characters in a battle royale could look like. As Genshin Impact has over fifty playable characters and its roster continues to grow with each update, realistically, only a few characters of the game's characters could be added to Fortnite. When characters from Street Fighter were added to Fortnite, only a few of the game's most famous fighters were added as Outfits.

A future crossover between Genshin Impact and Fortnite is definitely possible, as the battle royale game is continuously adding new licensed characters. Fortnite's Gaming Legends Series exclusively features iconic video game characters and Genshin Impact's record-breaking success will definitely go down in video game history. The pre-existing relationship between HoYoverse and Epic Games would appear to increase the odds of a collaboration between the two popular games becoming a reality. Until then, fans of Fortnite and Genshin Impact can enjoy the abundance of fan art created by both games' communities.
