Collei is one of the brand-new Dendro characters being added to Genshin Impact in the 3.0 Update. She wields a bow and is an apprentice Forest Ranger from Sumuru. This group is in charge of protecting the Rainforest in the new region. As with any new character, players can prepare by gathering materials ahead of time, speeding up the leveling process. Based on some leaked information from the Beta, Genshin Impact's Update is expected to release around August 24, 2022. This gives adventurers plenty of time to accumulate as many materials as they can before Collei.

Characters in Genshin Impact can be strengthened beyond the normal level-up system. Each unit comes with six Talents, split evenly into Passive and Combat. Increasing the strength of these abilities can dramatically change the potential of a character. At first, two Passive Talents are locked and players must gather the necessary Ascension Materials in Genshin Impact. The level limit of a character will be capped at specific increments. Unleashing the full potential of a unit requires that players acquire character-specific materials in the world. Adventurers can start saving for Collei now, allowing the apprentice Forest Ranger to be used immediately.

Unfortunately, some of the materials that Collei needs comes from Sumuru. This means players will be unable to attain them before the 3.0 Update. One of the new bosses in Sumuru is called the Jadeplume Terrorshroom. Players can acquire the Ascension Material, Majestic Hooked Beak, for the cost of 40 Resin. Two or three will be granted as a reward, with 46 being required for level 90 Collei. Another Ascension Material revealed is called a Rukkashava Mushroom. These grow on trees in the Rainforest of Sumuru, with a total of 168 being needed for Collei. Besides her Ascensions, the leaks have also shown the Talent Materials in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact Alchemy Crafting Arrowheads

Currently, players should be on the lookout for Hilichurl Shooters. The monsters have a chance to drop Arrowheads of varying rarity. Collei will need them for both her Ascension and to upgrade her Talents. A total of 18 Firm Arrowheads, 66 Sharp Arrowheads, and 93 Weathered Arrowheads will be needed for both uses. These enemies may be found in every region, but are most prominent in Mondstadt and Liyue. By opening up the Adventurer Handbook, players can mark the location of some Hilichurl Shooters on the map. Additionally, an Alchemy Station can be utilized to combine lower rarity Arrowheads into a higher tier in Geshin Impact.

The process of acquiring all the materials for a new character can be time-consuming. This is especially difficult when most of the items needed are in an unreleased region. Adventurers have just over a month to collect all the Arrowheads for Collei's Ascensions and Talents. Those that wish to get a headstart, before the apprentice Forest Ranger's release, should start searching for Hilichurl Shooters in Genshin Impact.
