The release of Genshin Impact 2.1 on September 1 brought the character Aloy from Horizon Forbidden West to a special crossover event in the game for PlayStation users. However, Aloy is different than other characters in the game since she does not have Constellations.  This is an important aspect of character advancement, but it's possible she get could them in the future.

All characters in Genshin Impact have Constellations except the main protagonist and now Aloy. This is an important feature missing from a character because this takes away build choices. Also, the lack of Constellations erases the sense of steadily increasing the power of a character, which is one of the most rewarding experiences in Genshin ImpactKujou Sara has the best character builds centered around her use of the bow, which is the same for Aloy. The best way to strengthen Aloy will be through using various weapons and Artifacts while also leveling up her Talents and Ascension.

Aloy is a five-star character, but she is free-to-own via a special limited-time promotion in Genshin Impact. This means that it is possible to attain only one copy of Aloy per person. This in turn makes Constellations for Aloy moot, as it is impossible to acquire duplicates of her which can then be turned into the Stella Fortuna material required to modify Constellations. It is unfortunate because Aloy will most likely be played briefly and then be shelved for full characters with a greater variety of builds. This is further exacerbated by the fact that she has been released alongside and overshadowed by another 5-star character, Raiden Shogun (Baal).

Genshin Impact Aloy Gameplay & Abilities Revealed

However, there is a possibility that Aloy could have Constellations in the future. Mentioned in-game and in a Q&A section from miHoYo about Aloy, is this description: "The time has not yet come for Aloy's corner of the night sky to light up."This is a strong indicator that Aloy could get updated with proper Constellations sometime in the future. The description strongly hints at an impending update in the nebulous future.

It is also important to remember that Horizon Forbidden West got delayed to 2022 but was originally slated to be released in the latter half of 2021. Aloy could have Constellations that were pulled before her release since they would presumably be related to her abilities in Horizon Forbidden West. Sony would want to keep those a secret until the game releases next year. miHoYo could be saving these Constellations until February 2022 to coincide with Aloy's game as both companies had originally envisioned. For now, Aloy is still a fun character to try out in Genshin Impact.

Aloy can be obtained by PlayStation users until October 13, 2021. PC and mobile users can grab her after that date and until November 24, 2021, for players who hit Adventure Rank 20. Aloy is a unique and wonderful addition to the game, and the first major crossover character to come to Genshin Impact, so hopefully she'll get Constellations soon.
