A glitch in Genshin Impact has allowed one crafty player to build an enormous and beautiful cliffside palace. The open-world action role-playing game from miHoYo, released in September 2020, lets players explore the fantasy world of Teyvat. A team of four unique heroes can be assembled for the journey, and gacha monetization mechanic is used to let players acquire new weapons and playable characters.

Genshin Impact is currently available on mobile phones, PlayStation consoles, and PC, but the popular title will reportedly be expanding to new platforms in the near future. miHoYo recently announced that the game will soon be arriving on the Epic Games Store, giving PC players another way to play. The developer also announced that those who get Genshin Impact on the Epic Games Store will receive a special gift that is meant to help new players get started on their fantastic journey. Some rumors also suggest that Genshin Impact will soon come to the Nintendo Switch, though this is currently unconfirmed by miHoYo or Nintendo. The anticipated announcement of a Switch Pro, which could utilize more current-gen hardware, may explain why miHoYo is waiting to unveil the port.

Reddit user waddlefarts recently showcased a gorgeous Genshin Impact palace, which was made using a glitch in the game's Serenitea Pot home building mechanic. The cliffside palace is absolutely massive, featuring multiple clusters of buildings that are connected using bridges. Waterfalls run from the bottom of the fortress, and small houses even sit within the running waters on the edge of these waterfalls. According to waddlefarts the structure was created using a glitch which, "Allows clipping and placing out of boundaries," resulting in a house that is much larger than would typically be possible in the game.

miHoYo consistently releases large updates for Genshin Impact, making the action RPG an ever-evolving game. The title's next major update, Version 1.6, will be appropriately summer-themed and will feature a variety of tropical additions. Multiple new cosmetic items will allow players to dress their characters in swimwear, a sailing mechanic will let players travel the high seas and a new beach location will be added for players to explore and get a tan. The update will also allow companions to move into players' homes, adding a Trust system that determines how many heroes can move in at one time.

Genshin Impact's role-play mechanics can be utilized to create a variety of unique player experiences. Building a house is a nice immersive mechanic in any game, but Genshin Impact typically limits players in how large they can make their base. Although waddlefarts used a glitch to achieve such a massive fortress, the result leaves some fans wishing that this large scale was available in the base game.
