In a few weeks, Genshin Impact players will finally have the opportunity to pull for and build the new 5-Star, Yae Miko. Yae Miko has been an important presence in Inazuma and the Inazuman Archon Story Quest since the region's release, and many players have been excitedly awaiting her official announcement. Luckily for them, the head Shrine Maiden was revealed to be coming in Version 2.5.

Yae Miko is a 5-Star Electro Catalyst user from Inazuma, whose banner will be the first one available in Genshin Impact Version 2.5. With such a unique design and significance in the main story, Yae Miko is likely to be an incredibly popular character upon her release. Here are what weapons, artifacts, talents, and team compositions are likely to work best for her.

Yae Miko's kit means she'll serve best as a Burst Sub-DPS Support– meaning she'll quickly deal large bursts of damage to enemies before being switched off the field. It's important to note that these details are all based on leaks, and Yae Miko's abilities and best build are subject to change before she releases in Genshin Impact.

How to Build Yae Miko in Genshin Impact

The Best Yae Miko Build in Genshin Impact (Weapons, Artifacts, & Talents)

Here are all of Yae Miko's abilities and how they work:

Best Abilities for Yae Miko in Genshin Impact

  • Normal Attack: Spiritfox Sin-Eater: Yae Miko summons forth Kitsune Spirits, initiating a maximum of 3 attacks that deal with Electro DMG. Her plunge attack deals AoE Electro DMG upon impact.
  • Elemental Skill: Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura: Yae Miko moves swiftly, leaving a Sesshou Sakura behind. This Sakura will periodically strike one nearby opponent with lightning, dealing Electro DMG. When there are other Sesshou Sakura nearby, their level will increase, boosting the Electro DMG dealt. A maximum of 3 Sesshou Sakura can exist at once.
  • Elemental Burst: Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin: Yae Miko unseals nearby Sesshou Sakura, destroying their outer forms and transforming them into Sky Kitsune Thunderbolts, dealing AoE Electro damage. Each Sesshou Sakura destroyed this way creates one descending thunderbolt.

During combat, players should use Yae Miko to drop her Elemental Skill several times and then use her Burst to deal maximum damage. Thus, players should focus on leveling her Burst along with her Skill. Players likely won't be using her Normal Attack to deal much damage, so the least focus can be placed on this.

Best Artifacts for Yae Miko in Genshin Impact

Yae Miko's best artifact set will likely be a 4-Piece Thundering Fury set. This set increases Electro DMG by 15% and increases the damage caused by Overloaded, Electro-Charged, and Superconduct by 40%. As a Catalyst user, Yae Miko can only deal Electro DMG, meaning this Electro DMG bonus will allow her to increase her overall damage, and the increase in reaction damage will benefit Genshin Impact's Main DPS units on the field significantly, allowing them to follow up Yae Miko's attacks to deal even more damage.

For main artifact stats, players should go with an Electro DMG Cup, either an ATK% or Energy Recharge Hourglass, and Crit DMG or Crit Rate Hat. For sub-stats, players should strongly prioritize Crit Rate and Crit DMG, with a secondary focus on ATK% and Energy Recharge. Elemental Mastery is also suitable as a final focus.

Best Weapons for Yae Miko in Genshin Impact

For weapons, Yae Miko's best-in-slot is likely to be the new Catalyst Kagura's Verity. This weapon matches Yae Miko's purple aesthetic perfectly, but it also has an incredibly high base attack with a Crit DMG substat. In addition, this weapon increases a character's Elemental DMG when using an Elemental Skill, making it great for Yae Miko. For players without a 5-Star Catalyst, The Widsith, Blackliff Agate, and SOlar Pearl are also all great options.

In terms of team compositions, Yae Miko will thrive with anyone who can continuously proc Elemental Reactions to follow up Yae Miko's burst damage. Pyro DPS' like Hu Tao and Yanfei will be great options for Main DPS units. If players have a Physical DPS unit they want to use, they should include a Cryo character on the team to proc Superconduct. Finally, players should have a character that can recharge Yae Miko's Energy, making the Raiden Shogun a perfect team partner for both story and battles.
