Pulling on new banners is the most exciting part of any Genshin Impact update, and March is coming with plenty of new exciting banners players can spend their wishes on in Version 2.5. The update, titled “When the Sakura Bloom”, is coming with several characters players can try their luck at pulling. However, players also may want to know which banners are coming up, and which have the best characters, before they spend their precious Primogems.

Genshin Impact’s recently revamped banner system means there will be three separate character banners throughout the 2.5 update. The first half of the update will have one banner running (starring Yae Miko), while the second half will have two re-run banners running simultaneously (the Raiden Shogun and Sanganomiya Kokomi).

To pull for a character on a banner, players will need plenty of wishes. Wishes on the limited edition banners take the form of Genshin Impact's Intertwined Fates, which can be purchased when wishing (or through Paimon’s Shop) with Primogems. Each wish costs 160 Primogems, and the chances players pull a 5-Star unit increases every time they wish. Once players hit 90 wishes, they’ll have a guaranteed 5-Star. If the 5-Star unit they pull isn’t the featured banner one, the next 5-Star they get will be.

What Banners Genshin Impact Players Should Spend Their Wishes On In March 2022

Genshin Impact Version 2.5 Featured Program Banners Best Wishes Pull March

The first 5-Star featured banner running in Genshin Impact version 2.5 is the long-awaited shrine maiden Yae Miko. Yae Miko is an Electro Catalyst user who is currently considered to be an S-Tier Sub-DPS unit. Her attacks have a wide AoE and her Elemental Skill has a low cooldown, so she’s a perfect character for players looking for a new Electro unit or a new Sub-DPS to accompany their Pyro Main DPS. Her banner also features Diona, who is considered one of the strongest support healers in the game, and Fischl, who can serve as a great elemental battery for Yae Miko.

For the second half of the Genshin Impact update, the Raiden Shogun is considered one of the best support units in the game thanks to her unique kit and ability to help any Main DPS deal insane amounts of additional damage with ease. The Raiden Shogun can be used as a Main DPS, Sub-DPS, or Support depending on how players want to play, and her high damage output makes her a fantastic addition to any party.

While many players voiced disappointment over Sanganomiya Kokomi when she was first released, she’s a decent choice for players who love her design, or players who are looking for a new dedicated healer to add to their team. However, if players are struggling to beat end-game content (such as receiving full stars on the Spiral Abyss), they’re likely better off spending their Primogems on a more hard-hitting character like the Raiden Shogun, whose banner already includes Diona.

For Genshin Impact players pulling for Yae Miko, the weapon banner this update features the new 5-Star Catalyst ‘Kagura’s Verity’, which is clearly made for Yae Miko. The weapon has a high base attack and requires the user to cast their Elemental Skill three times within 16 seconds of the first. This means the only characters who can fully utilize this weapon’s passive are currently Yae Miko and Lisa, so it’s a decent choice for players who love Yae Miko and want to fully build her. However, the weapon banner also has the Primordial Jade Cutter, which is an extremely strong sword with Crit Rate stat, making it a great sword for almost any Main DPS.
