Genshin Impact introduces the 4-star Toukabou Shigure sword in Version 3.3, a weapon that pairs quite well with a few characters. Despite not being a 5-star weapon, and missing some important stat and sub-stat scaling only achievable by the top-notch weapons of the game, it will be a decent substitute for players looking to improve certain heroes’ performances on the field. They will have, however, a limited time to obtain the Toukabou Shigure sword in Genshin Impact.
Toukabou Shigure is a weapon granted by the questline present in the Akitso Kimodameshi event, which happens between December 15 and January 2, 2023. It is but one of many confirmed events in Genshin Impact 3.3 and will offer both the weapon and its necessary ascension and refinement materials. Completing it will leave players with an exclusive weapon that's ready to go.
Kazuha & Genshin Impact Characters With Elemental Mastery Thrive With Toukabou Shigure
The only requirement a character will have to be able to equip Toukabou Shigure in Genshin Impact is being a sword-wielder. It is, nonetheless, a better weapon when held by an Elemental Mastery stat-focused character. As such, the best character to equip Toukabou Shigure as of now is Kaedehara Kazuha, the young 5-star Anemo swordsmith-swordsman from Inazuma. The character’s Elemental Mastery ascension stat, along with Nahida’s, is the highest one in the game.
With the best build, Kazuha in Genshin Impact can make the proper use of Toukabou Shigure. Of course, although he is the best character for the weapon, the sword is not the best one for him. He thrives further with his 5-star signature sword Freedom-Sworn, for instance, while Iron Sting is an easily craftable weapon that’s fairly appropriate for him, too.
Beyond Kazuha, some other Genshin Impact characters are also great fits for Toukabou Shigure. Despite not having Elemental Mastery as a fixed Ascension Stat, the support character Kuki Shinobu can also thrive with the new 4-star weapon, as pointed out by GameWith. Focusing on triggering Elemental Reactions with her will be the players’ most important task if they want to make good use of the sword. As such, Kuki Shinobu’s best build in Genshin Impact goes a long way in making that happen.
Ayato & Other Genshin Impact Characters Can Use Toukabou Shigure Well
Other such characters that could use Toukabou Shigure with mildly effective results are characters whose sub-stats include Elemental Mastery as a priority. Despite not being their best weapons, both Ayato Kamisato and Xingqiu, for example, could improve their elemental reactions on the field in case no other better weapon, such as the Haran Geppaku Futsu or Sacrificial Sword, respectively, are available. Mere access to Ayato can also be a problem, seeing that he is a 5-star limited-time banner character.
On the positive side of the news, though, Ayato is one of the characters in Genshin to return in banner reruns planned through update 3.3. Ultimately, the best character to equip Toukabou Shigure is still Kazuha, but depending on the players’ team and character-specific builds, it might make sense in other Genshin Impact heroes’ hands instead.
