A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed gameplay footage of upcoming character Kamisato Ayato showcasing their C6 ability. The current head of the Kamisato Clan and the brother of popular character Ayaka, Genshin Impact's Ayato was officially revealed by developer and publisher HoYoverse at the start of February. Ayato is one of the characters that is currently rumored to be coming with Genshin Impact’s 2.6 update, which is expected to launch sometime near the end of March.
As Genshin Impact’s current 2.5 update begins to enter its second half of content, players still have a lot to look forward to before the next update launches next month. The second half of the 2.5 update brings with it the patch’s two rerun banners. As previously revealed by HoYoverse during the patch’s livestream event several weeks ago, the Genshin Impact 2.5 update’s rerun banners will feature both Raiden Shogun and Kokomi.
Reddit user julixttaa shared the leaked Genshin Impact Ayato gameplay video on the appropriately-named Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit (via Game Rant). According to julixttaa, the leaked video is courtesy of prominent Genshin Impact leaker NotALeaks. It shows Kamisato Ayato using their Elemental Skill, Kamisato Art: Kyouka, which is strengthened by the character’s sixth constellation Boundless Origin. When C6 Ayato is unlocked, the character’s first Shunsuiken strike after using Kyouka also creates two extra Shunsuiken strikes. This also means that Ayato’s Wave Flash stacks instantly go to three because of the two additional attacks. Notably, the effect also changes the animation for the first Shunsuiken strike, causing the screen to darken slightly before the two extra Shunsuiken strikes, which appear in the form of additional Ayato afterimages, are triggered.
Ayato’s abilities and constellations may make him one of the best Genshin Impact Hydro characters to build. His impressive C6 ability works rather well with the effect of his C2 ability, which increases the maximum number of Wave Flash stacks he can have from four to five. Ayato’s C2 ability also increases his maximum health when he has three Wave Flash stacks, which synchronizes with his C6 ability as it instantly gives him three Wave Flash stacks when activated. Furthermore, since the Wave Flash stacks increase Ayato’s damage based on his maximum health, the combination of his C2 and C6 abilities may increase his damage output significantly.
The arrival of Ayato is just one of the new things that players have to look forward to at the end of March if the 2.6 update leaks prove to be accurate, such as Genshin Impact’s upcoming Chasm map. And if Ayato’s abilities and constellations aren’t changed before he’s made available, Ayato may certainly become one of Genshin Impact’s most prominent DPS characters.
