Genshin Impact 3.6’s livestream is bound to happen soon and, thanks to developer HoYoverse’s regular schedule, it is possible to predict exactly when it will happen. Currently, the game is in Version 3.5, an update that brought less content than usual. The patch did, however, introduce the playable version of Dehya and Mika, and celebrated the annual Windblume Festival in Mondstadt.

Although Version 3.5 has lacked content, it seems players will have their hands full in the next update thanks to a few leaks. Aside from that, HoYoverse has also confirmed some details, particularly about the new playable Genshin Impact characters in Version 3.6. With all the information obtained so far, it is safe to assume the patch will have loads of content. Nonetheless, with much of it being based on leaks, it is better to wait for the official confirmation during the Genshin Impact 3.6 livestream.

Unless there are any unexpected delays or changes of plans, Genshin Impact’s updates follow a strict six-week calendar. Because 3.5 was released on March 1, it is likely that Genshin Impact 3.6 will arrive on April 12 – updates also tend to happen on Wednesdays, which is why April 12 is a safe bet. The respective livestreams, on the other hand, usually occur two weeks prior to the patch’s arrival, and usually on a Friday. As confirmed by a post on the official Genshin Impact Twitter account, the Genshin Impact 3.6 livestream will happen on Friday, March 31, at 8 am ET. There, players will get a confirmation on Genshin Impact 3.6 leaks and a confirmation on the patch’s release date.

Genshin Impact 3.6 Livestream: What Characters & Banners To Expect

As confirmed by HoYoverse, two new playable characters will be introduced to the game with patch 3.6: the 5-star pharmacist from Liyue, Baizhu, and the 4-star architect from Sumeru, Kaveh. Following the regular organization regarding their tiers, Baizhu should have a featured character banner in Phase 1, while Kaveh should be featured in both character banners in Phase 2. Leaks reported by Sportskeeda indicate that Ganyu will be the rerun in Phase 1, while Nilou and Nahida are to be featured in Phase 2. Character banner leaks were somewhat unreliable in 3.5, so it would be best to wait for the Genshin Impact 3.6 livestream before drawing imprecise conclusions.

However, leaks also indicate that the Sumeru region in Genshin Impact will not only be getting another extension to its map but will also see a second chapter to Nahida’s story. This would justify Nahida’s rerun, as well as a focus on Sumeru characters. In fact, another leak by GenshinMains_ on Twitter points out that there will be an event that will give out a copy of Candace for free, which would only add up to the highlight on Sumeru. If this is true, it will likely be confirmed during the Genshin Impact 3.6 livestream.

Further leaks also tease a new weekly boss fight, new sets of enemies, a new 5-star Catalyst (Baizhu’s signature weapon), and much more. It is important to note, once again, that this information is based on leaks and it would be wise to wait for the official confirmation during the Genshin Impact 3.6 livestream on March 31. Nonetheless, the leaks seem reliable this time around and Nahida’s return to Genshin Impact is just enough to justify the expectations for the new patch.
