Genshin Impact's Version 3.1 live stream contained the official announcement of new characters to obtain, zones to explore, and questlines to complete. As per usual, the stream also brought details on events that can be expected in Version 3.1. With Genshin Impact remaining very popular after the introduction of the Dendro element, and the Sumeru region, Version 3.1 is crucial in extending that interest from the playerbase following such an impactful 3.0 launch.

In Genshin Impact, events often give players a change of pace from the usual daily quests and grinding. By providing unique gameplay mechanics, interactive quests, and many rare rewards, events are often met with praise, bringing a surge of popularity back to the game. Events, due to the nature of the rewards they bring, are very popular for those looking to pull upcoming characters, such as Cyno, or Nilou. Others may be looking forward to mixing up the usual scenery of Sumeru, and re-exploring regions that have been known since the beginning, like Mondstadt.

With the events announced during the Genshin Impact Version 3.1 live stream, many eagerly anticipate the new challenges and treasures that await them when the patch is released. Genshin Impact is releasing 5 special events for Version 3.1 which are, "Of Ballads and Brews," "Wind Chaser," "Star-Seeker's Sojourn," "Hyakunin Ikki," and "Path of the Gleaming Jade."

Genshin Impact 3.1: Of Ballads and Brews

Of-Ballads-and-Brews-Genshin-1

The first announced event coming to Genshin Impact Version 3.1 is, "Of Ballads and Brews" event which will be taking the Traveler back to Mondstadt. Celebrating the season of harvest, the Traveler is tasked with assisting the various citizens with issues and requests related to the festival. Some of these activities include helping hunters drive away boars, the usual combat and exploration, and attempting to run a store. This last activity in particular is very exciting, and seems like an interesting way to mix up the usual Genshin Impact gameplay.

Genshin Impact 3.1: Wind Chaser

Wind Chasers Genshin

While not nearly as exciting or in depth as the first, the next announced event is the "Wind Chaser." In this event, Travelers will be exploring wind-filled domains collecting special coins as they go. Despite this being the only apparent feature to this event, it's an interesting change of pace to the many combat centric events that were in Version 3.0. The main mechanic of the event itself, solving wind based puzzles, doesn't seem overly complex and the location that it takes place in, a domain, doesn't show off many of the newest features of Sumeru, but it seems like it will be an easy completion with the usual rewards of Primogems, Mora, and enhancement & level-up materials.

Genshin Impact 3.1: Star-Seeker's Sojourn

Star Seekers Genshin

This next event, "Star-Seeker's Sojourn," will have the Traveler once again hunting for treasure. While this isn't a new activity for Genshin Impact, this event implies that it will heavily feature exploration of the open world. This means that unlike the "Wind Chaser" event, "Star-Seeker's Sojourn" might take the Traveler to new and interesting parts of Teyvat. By equipping a special gadget, players will be able to search for the Future Stars, and hopefully uncover their mystery while helping a child named Banu.

Genshin Impact 3.1: Hyakunin Ikki

Finally, for the main events of Genshin Impact Version 3.1, the Inazuma based event, "Hyakunin Ikki" is making a return for the third time. In this event, the Traveler will participate in Hyakunin Ikki, a free-for-all fighting tournament that features both mystical monsters and mortals fighting. The gameplay of this event, while simple, is very entertaining. Taking place in a tag-team format, the Traveler will be able to create groups and swap between them to prevent anyone from getting too exhausted. This mechanic helps keep the combat fresh, providing a unique change that requires players to use their characters more strategically.

Genshin Impact 3.1: Login and Mail Rewards

Genshin 3.1 All Events

The next events, while still important, hold no changes to gameplay. In celebration of Genshin Impact's Second Anniversary, the game will be giving players 1,600 Primogems, 4 Fragile Resin, a Jumpy Dumpty Party Popper and a Cloud Retainer's Damasked Device. The Damasked Device looks especially intriguing, being a little bird that follows the player around. This hopefully will add some variety to the amount of pets that can join the Traveler's side and pave the way for more pets to join in the future.

Also for the Anniversary, the "Path of the Gleaming Jade" event will provide daily login rewards. These rewards will net the traveler a cumulative total of 10 Intertwined Fates, as well as various other resources. With the mailing event and login bonuses, Genshin Impact Version 3.1 is giving away 20 free banner rolls in total for the Anniversary. While some players are upset there isn't more, many are excited to have a chance to roll on the upcoming banners for recently confirmed characters Cyno, Nilou, Venti and Albedo.

On top of the fun activities, the Anniversary rewards are massive, with 20 free spins coming from login bonuses and mail, as well as large unconfirmed sums of Primogems and other resources for the other events.
