As Genshin Impact's highly-anticipated 3.0 update draws closer, leaks suggest that Zhongli and Ganyu will appear on a double banner in the second half of Genshin Impact Version 3.0. If true, this will be the second time Zhongli and Ganyu's Banners have run alongside each other, with the characters previously featured on a double rerun Banner in the second half of Genshin Impact's 2.4 update, which arrived at the beginning of this year.
Genshin Impact's 3.0 update will bring with it the new explorable Dendro nation of Sumeru, as well as the game's first Dendro playable characters. Tighnari, an upcoming 5-star Dendro character, is expected to be the featured 5-star character on the first Banner of Genshin Impact's 3.0 update. Two new 4-star characters will also arrive in the game's 3.0 update: Dendro-wielding forest ranger Collei and Electro traveling salesman Dori. Collei and Dori are expected to appear as the 4-star characters on Tighnari's Banner. In the second half of the update, it's rumored that 5-star characters Ganyu and Zhongli will be featured on a double rerun Banner.
Ganyu is a 5-star Cryo character in Genshin Impact and one of the game's strongest DPS characters. Wielding a bow, Ganyu delivers high damage even without her constellations, making her a premier pick for the Main DPS role in a party. Ganyu first appeared as an NPC in Genshin Impact's Version 1.0, becoming a playable character shortly after when her "Adrift in the Harbor" Banner arrived in the game's 1.2 update. Ganyu previously received a rerun in Genshin Impact, just over a year after her initial release, when she appeared on a double rerun Banner alongside Zhongli during Version 2.4. If Ganyu does get a rerun in the latter half of the 3.0 update as rumored, it'll be the third time the half-qilin character has received a drop-rate boost.
Genshin Impact 3.0: Tighnari, Ganyu & Zhongli Character Banners
Zhongli is a 5-star Geo character in Genshin Impact and the mortal vessel of the Geo Archon, Morax. One of two Geo characters to wield a Polearm, the other being 4-star Yun Jin, Zhongli is one of Genshin Impact's top Support characters, though he also excels in the Sub-DPS role. Wielding power worthy of an Archon, Genshin Impact's Zhongli delivers massive Geo damage while providing shields to the team. Zhongli was added to Genshin Impact as a playable character in December 2020, receiving two reruns of his Banner "Gentry of Hermitage" since. If Zhongli does get a rerun Banner during version 3.0, it'll be his third rerun and the fourth time in total that Genshin Impact players have been able to pull for the enigmatic Geo character.
Fortunately, Genshin Impact players won't have to wait much longer for the arrival of the game's 3.0 update. Though HoYoverse has yet to officially announce the release date for Genshin Impact's 3.0 update, it's speculated to arrive six weeks after Genshin Impact's current version (2.8), which puts its release date on or around August 24. If recent leaks are correct, following a banner for Genshin Impact's first 5-star Dendro user Tighnari, Zhongli and Ganyu will get their second double rerun banner of 2022.
