Collei is one of the new playable characters rumored for Genshin Impact 3.0. Thus far, there's been nothing official to suggest this, but as the 3.0 update will take place in Sumeru (where Collei is from) then it makes sense for this Dendro character to appear. Amid numerous alleged leaks and rumors, here's what to know about Collei in Genshin Impact.
So far, most of what people know about Collei comes from the official Genshin Impact manga, which can be read for free online via HoYoverse's website. Although once a Fatui herself, Collei has sworn vengeance against the Fatui Barnabas and is one of the main characters in the manga. In various chapters, she has teamed up with recognizable allies like Kaeya and Amber. In Chapter 16, she leaves Mondstadt to follow Cyno into Sumeru, which is why it seems so likely that she'll appear in the Genshin Impact 3.0 update.
Numerous leaks, including this one from SaveYourPrimos on Twitter, have suggested that Collei will be playable in Genshin Impact 3.0. This would mean Collei's release date would be in August 2022, depending on whether her Banner kicks off the new content or is added about halfway through the update. Additionally, the long-awaited Dendro Archon of Sumeru, Kusanali, is expected in Version 3.1 instead.
Genshin Impact 3.0: When Collei Will Be Playable
Given that Cyno was teased before the game officially launched, and that Collei has been a huge part of the manga, it makes sense that these two characters could kickstart Genshin Impact 3.0 and Sumeru's debut. The new update is expected to bring in numerous Dendro characters - like Inazuma did for Electro - so having Collei be playable seems likely. Additional leaks, like the one below, claim Collei's skills are already finished and in the testing stage before release.
As with all Genshin Impact leaks, it's important to realize that these are subject to change. Even the most reliable leaks may be impacted by delays - like the rumored Genshin Impact 2.7 delay - from outside circumstances that affect game development. It's also possible HoYoverse will change parts of Collei's build during testing - or that she'll be moved to a different update. Regardless, given Collei's importance to the storyline, it's highly likely she'll be playable in Genshin Impact soon. Right now, Version 3.0 seems like the most probably release date for her, and it's certainly when most leaks are suggesting she'll arrive. Until HoYoverse officially announces her, though, there's no way to know for certain.
