Genshin Impact's patch 2.7 livestream gives players insight into what is to come in Genshin Impact's future. This livestream has long been awaited since its initial delay, and a lot of hype for the patch 2.7 event schedule has accumulated.
Along with new events, the 2.7 livestream confirmed the upcoming characters that will be featured on banners throughout patch 2.7. There is also another story quest upcoming in the Chasm for players to enjoy, which had its own featured trailer in the livestream.
As with every other patch, Genshin Impact's 2.7 update will have several events hosted throughout it. Each event will provide players with a specific amount of Primogems, as well as other types of rewards like Talent materials. For these events: players will be returning to the Chasm; another rhythm game event is coming; and one event specifically will provide players with a free 4-star weapon.
Genshin Impact 2.7's First Event: Perilous Trail
The first event of 2.7 is called Perilous Trail and is a special Domain event in Genshin Impact with its own unique challenges. Players will enter combat with waves of enemies with a team they select, but to move on to the next wave, they will have to replace some of the characters in their team. This is because the Domain will force some of the player's party into a "recuperation" state, where they will be unable to be selected for the next challenge of enemies.
Perilous Trail will reward players with various rewards, such as a Crown of Insight in Genshin Impact, Primogems, and a new 4-star bow called Fading Twilight with its own Ascension material called Glowing Gem. While not confirmed by HoYoverse itself during the 2.7 Livestream, the Fading Twilight bow has been leaked to have an Energy Recharge main stat, and a unique passive that states "Has three states, Evengleam, Afterglow, and Dawnblaze, which increase Damage by 6%/10%/14% respectively. When attacks hit opponents, this weapon will switch to the next state. This weapon can change once every 7s. The character equipping this weapon can still trigger the state switch while not on the field." This can be a suitable bow for Yelan if players will not be rolling for her featured weapon (Aqua Simulacra), but may also work on other bow users in Genshin Impact as well.
Genshin Impact 2.7's Second Event: A Muddy Bizarre Adventure
Genshin Impact's second event is called A Muddy Bizarre Adventure, which will have players clearing out Dark Mud throughout the Chasm. Clearing Dark Mud requires the Lumenstone Adjunct Gadget, which can be obtained throughout the Chasm questline, so players might want to consider delving into The Chasm before this event launches if they haven't gotten around to doing so yet. This event involves various activities, such as clearing waves of enemies during a time limit while clearing Dark Mud, as well as escorting a slime balloon while clearing Dark Mud in Genshin Impact, similar to the Daily Commissions that involve escorting the balloon. This event rewards players with Primogems, Mora, and other essential materials.
Genshin Impact 2.7's Third Event: The Almighty Arataki Great And Glorious Drumalong Festival
Genshin Impact 2.7's third event is called The Almighty Arataki Great and Glorious Drumalong Festival, which will be Genshin Impact's third rhythm game event, the first using the Lyre Gadget and the second using the Zither. This time, players will be using a gadget called Arataki's Great and Glorious Drum to play a Guitar Hero-like minigame, hitting the correct key in timing with the song that is playing on three different difficulties. Players will also be able to create their own beat maps and share with other Genshin Impact players so that they can try them out. This event will reward players with Primogems, Mora, EXP, and weapon materials, and players will also be able to keep the drum Gadget.
Genshin Impact 2.7's Fourth Event: Core of the Apparatus
The fourth and final event of Genshin Impact's 2.7 patch is called Core of the Apparatus. In the Genshin Impact 2.7 Livestream, it was described as the player collecting materials using a Gadget called the Material Collector in order to build various robots in order to claim rewards. This event will reward players with Primogems, talent materials, Mora, EXP materials, and other rewards.
The Genshin Impact 2.7 livestream showcased a lot of what update 2.7 will have to offer to players. All of the new events arriving in 2.7 are unique and look like a fun challenge for players, especially The Almighty Arataki Great And Glorious Drumalong Festival, since the Pro (hardest) difficulty actually looked fairly challenging during the livestream update.
