As Genshin Impact's highly anticipated Version 2.0 is releasing, "Thunder Sojourn" is the first event to kick off the new update. The event will take place across the entirety of the Inazuma region, and players will have to complete different challenges in order to obtain plenty of rewards. Here's everything to know about the rewards and gameplay aspects in Genshin Impact 2.0's first event.

With Genshin Impact's Inazuma nation now playable, "Thunder Sojourn" is a fantastic way to explore the region and earn rewards. When completing challenges throughout the island nation, players will gather Thunder Pellets and Thunder Crystals, the event's currency, to exchange for multiple prizes. Excitingly, for 1,000 Thunder Pellets and 1,000 Thunder Crystals, players will have the option to purchase the Electro user Beidou, the"Uncrowned Lord of the Ocean." In addition, players can obtain Crowns of Insight, Hero Writs, Primogems, Mora, and other Talent Level-Up Materials.

Similar to the latest Genshin Impact events, "Thunder Sojourn" will have eligibility requirements for players to meet before participating. With one of the highest Adventure Rank requirements yet, Travelers will have to be at or above level 30 to join. The event also requires several quest prerequisites for eligibility, including the completion of the Archon Quest "Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves" and the "Ritou Escape Plan" quest that will be made available in Chapter 2: Act 1 upon arriving in Inazuma. This event will span a lengthy 19 days, running from July 22, 2021, and ending on August 9, 2021.

According to miHoYo, the gameplay for the "Thunder Sojourn" event will is phased in four different Acts, each with a respective quest to unlock. It is important to remember that the Event Shop (July 22 - August 16) runs longer than the event itself, and after it closes, Thunder Pellets and Thunder Crystals will be deemed useless and will disappear. Players must remember to exchange the currency for rewards in time. Listed below are the four different Acts and what can be obtained from each.

• "Act 1: Bolt Blitz": The "Voyage Prep" quest must be completed to unlock this Act, available July 22, 2021. This Act will cover two days in total, with 3 challenges unlocking each day. Players can complete a total of six challenges, to obtain rewards like Thunder Pellets, Primogems, and Mora. In this Act, participants must utilize Thunder Spheres to quickly reach destinations within a time limit. Defeating opponents or collecting Electro particles will lengthen the time remaining.

"Act 2: Lightning Round": Completing the quest "Tracking the Thunder" will unlock this Act on July 24, 2021. During this challenge, fighters will need to use the Thunder Dwelling mechanic, unleashing a Thunder Shock, which helps defeat all opponents within the time limit. Completing this round, Travelers will gain Thunder Pellets, Primogems, Mora, and other rewards.

"Act 3: Weaving Lightning": Unlocking this Act on July 27, 2021, will require completing the "Crossing Storm Clouds" quest. Players will, again, need to defeat all the opponents in a given time limit. This round includes a mechanism called Nimbus Gems. For characters carrying Electorgana, which is unique to Genshin Impact's Inazuma, or who are affected by Electro, these Nimbus Gems will link to them and provide various buffs depending on how many Nimbus Gems are currently linked to a character. This challenge quest rewards Thunder Pellets, Primogems, Mora, and more.

"Act 4: Automaton Front": In the final Act on July 30, 2021, the quest "Facing Distant Echoes" will need to be completed. In this final Act, players can battle the Perpetual Mechanical Array found in the "Automaton Front" Domain. Both previous mechanics - Thunder Dwellings and Nimbus Gems - will be available during the fight to aid participants. This fight will reward Thunder Crystals to redeem in the Event Shop.

With the Inazuma region now playable, the long-awaited release will coincide with the "Thunder Sojourn" event. As an incentive to participate, fans will be offered plenty of rewards, and one of Genshin Impact's playable characters, making it worthwhile. Beginning July 22, 2021, Genshin Impact's next event is sure to provide a fun challenge in its newest nation.
