Sayu is a new playable character set to arrive during Genshin Impact's Version 2.o update. On June 7, miHoYo revealed Sayu on social media platforms which generated curiosity for fans, before showing her off n a livestream for the 2.0 content. For players hoping to roll on her Banner, here's everything known about Sayu right now.

Sayu is a ninja from Shiyuumatsu-Ban in Inazuma. She wields a giant claymore in battle and is an Anemo Vision user like Kazuha. Being a master of the ninjutsu art, Sayu is known for fleeing in battle, hiding, and transforming herself into one of her many disguises. During the Genshin Impact Version 2.0 livestream, Sayu has been confirmed to be in the same Banner as Yoimiya, which will be released during the second half of Genshin Impact's 2.0 update.

Due to her circumstances, Sayu has a strong obsession with growing taller. This leads to her unhealthy habit of sleeping a lot, thinking it will help her grow. Despite Sayu's early reveal online, miHoYo officially showcased her Skills and Talents during the Genshin Impact 2.0 livestream.

Genshin Impact Sayu

In Genshin Impact 2.0, Sayu's Normal Attack, known as the Shiyuumastsu-Ban Ninja Blade, is an attack with her Claymore, consisting of 4 consecutive strikes. Her Charged Attack consumes stamina, which allows Sayu to perform a continuous spinning attack with her weapon. Sayu's Elemental Skill is called Yoohoo Art: Fuuin Dash, and is an Anemo attack where Sayu curls up into a Windwheel, striking enemies along the way until she unleashes a final Whirlwind kick. Players can hold the ability, allowing Sayu to continue rolling for a longer duration.

Her Elemental Burst is called Yoohoo Art: Mujina Flurry, which is an Anemo attack that also heals all nearby party members. Sayu then summons an adorable creature known as Muji-Muji Daruma that will perform different tasks depending on the situation. Daruma will strike nearby enemies, consistently dealing Anemo damage, or it will heal characters depending on overall HP levels.

The Genshin Impact 2.0 update will feature new Wishes for players to pull on. Ayaka's Banner will arrive on July 21, and Sayu and Yoimiya's shared Banner will be released shortly after - during the second half of the Version 2.0 update. miHoYo hasn't provided any specific dates regarding the Banner's release, but if the company were to follow its three-week release schedule like before, players can expect Sayu and Yoimiya on August 10, allowing fans to obtain a few more Primogems before attempting to roll on the Banner.
