The Inazuma region in Genshin Impact is an island nation based around the Electro element that's supposedly inspired by real-world Japan. So far, the region hasn't made its way into the free-to-play RPG yet, although rumors and possible leaks have pointed at its debut for several months. The latest alleged leaks show off the entire map, but just how reliable does this Inazuma map seem?

It's worth noting that developer miHoYo hasn't confirmed when the Inazuma region will release in Genshin Impact. The nation has been the source of speculation from fans for a long time, and Inazuma was rumored for Version 1.5 and 1.6. So, it's certainly possible Inazuma won't arrive until a future update that's even beyond Version 1.7, no matter how strong rumors are to the contrary.

Recently, a beta test for Genshin Impact 1.7 has already caused numerous leaks to appear online, despite players who participated having to sign NDAs. Similar scenarios happened in previous betas for the game, so leaks shouldn't be too surprising. However, this has caused some playable characters like Yoimiya to leak, even though miHoYo has confirmed them via its social media accounts. The latest leaks are allegedly a map representation of the Inazuma region, created by user Holyco and posted in the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Discord.

Are The Genshin Impact Inazuma Map Leaks Real?

Genshin Impact 1.7 Inazuma Map Leak

Although Genshin Impact has been the source of countless leaks since it debuted last year, and many of them have proven to be real, there's always the possibility this Inazuma map is more wishful thinking than an actual leak. Many of the locations' names on the map have already appeared online, either officially or otherwise, so it's hard to base the accuracy of the map on that. Furthermore, this is a fan rendering, so it's hard to know how much is accurate and how much is simply guesswork.

As the image states, this layout is subject to change, since it's allegedly based on beta content from Genshin Impact. Even if it is an accurate representation of the Inazuma region, miHoYo may alter or tweak certain areas before it's fully released in the game. Either way, players probably shouldn't be basing the likelihood of Inazuma in Genshin Impact 1.7 off of this map. Even if it turns out to be 100% accurate, this doesn't necessarily confirm that the new region is coming in the next update. Instead, fans will have to wait for official confirmation from miHoYo to know for sure.
