Version 1.6 of Genshin Impact is right around the corner, and the latest livestream from miHoYo confirmed quite a bit about the next major update. As usual, fans were given glimpses of new events, characters, and content. And while a lot of attention may be on new playable character Kazuha and the new Waverider boat mini-game, the real star of Version 1.6 is Klee.
Klee was introduced in Genshin Impact prior to the Version 1.1 update, meaning she's been around almost as long as the free-to-play RPG has. Her AoE Pyro attacks make her pretty powerful, but in terms of the game's main storyline, she hasn't really had a chance to shine yet. Now, it looks as if all of that is finally changing with Version 1.6, titled "Midsummer Island Adventure," which will have Klee, Jean, and Barbara exploring new territory alongside players.
Based on the livestream trailer for Genshin Impact 1.6, it looks as if Klee's mother will finally be introduced in this next update. While Klee and players are exploring the new island, the voice of Klee's mother, Alice, can presumably be heard over the gramophone. It's believed that she'll at least introduce the new cosmetic skin system in 1.6, which features summertime swimwear for Barbara and Jean. However, there's a chance more than just her voice will appear in the next update.
Genshin Impact 1.6 Gives Klee A Chance To Shine
Alice is a famous adventurer and a member of the Hexenzirkel, but not much else is known about her at this time. Given the teases for Alice in the livestream, it's possible she'll be using her magic to give Jean and Barbara new looks. And depending on where the story leads on this new island, there's a chance players will discover Klee's mother there.
Klee is a big part of the 1.6 update in more ways than one. In addition to being a part of the official promotion image for Midsummer Island Adventure, she's also getting a Banner rerun to kick off Genshin Impact's 1.6 content. It may be sad news for people who were hoping to pull Kazuha in Genshin Impact early on, but it's a great way to have a chance at pulling Klee with a boosted rate through the game's Wish system.
It's been over six months since Klee was introduced in Genshin Impact, so it's great to finally see her playing a larger role in the content and story. Her Banner rerun will give fans a higher chance of obtaining her, and many new 1.6 features, like swimwear skins for Barbara and Jean and the new island to explore, all seem connected to Klee in some way.
