The nations and characters of Genshin Impact are each attuned to one of the world's many Elements. Currently, there are six Elements in the game, but a seventh - Dendro - is expected to arrive soon. Thanks to the Version 1.6 beta, a lot of leaks have begun to service regarding the next big update. So is the Dendro Element finally coming out with Genshin Impact 1.6?
So far, there's been no official word from developer miHoYo in regards to when Dendro characters will arrive in-game. However, long-rumored playable characters like Baizhu and YaoYao are both allegedly Dendro users. Dendro is a Poison-type Element, portrayed with a lime green color, and is expected to have Elemental Reactions with at least Pyro users. Since launching last year, Genshin Impact hasn't had a new Element introduced, so the prospect of Dendro users arriving is pretty exciting.
Now, thanks to the Version 1.6 beta test, a lot of Genshin Impact leaks are beginning to surface online. Leaks have hinted at playable characters like Kazuha and Yoimiya, as well as boat travel being introduced. The 1.6 update will also presumably introduce the new Inazuma region, which is attuned to the Electro Element. So, what does all of this actually mean in terms of Dendro being added?
So far, both YaoYao and Baizhu have been rumored as playable Dendro characters. Neither one has been a part of the Genshin Impact 1.6 leaks so far, which could indicate the Dendro element won't be arriving with the update in June. Given how accurate previous beta leaks have been, there's a good chance Kazuha and Yoimiya will be playable next, so fans will likely have to wait a bit longer to see Baizhu and YaoYao on Banners.
With Version 1.6 of Genshin Impact focusing on the new Inazuma region, most of the Elemental focus will probably be on Electro. This is yet another reason why it seems unlikely for the Dendro Element to finally be introduced in 1.6. Instead, it's likely this Element won't appear until Version 1.7 or later. And since Dendro is the Element of the Sumeru nation, it may be even longer before Dendro users actually become playable.
Of course, until miHoYo officially announces something about the Dendro Element and its rumored playable characters, there's no way to know for sure. However, assuming the 1.6 beta leaks are all accurate, it seems increasingly unlikely that the Dendro Element will actually be coming out in the Genshin Impact 1.6 update.
