The newest update coming soon to Genshin Impact was revealed in a recent livestream that showed off some exciting new content. While some reveals in the 1.6 livestream may be disappointing, a lot of new content was shown for some island-hopping adventures to come. Reveals included information on new cosmetic skins, a boss, and an explorable island. However, an island aesthetic is not the only new feature arriving in Version 1.6. Some key improvements are expected to come to the housing system and the Serenitea Pot to make life at home more comfortable for players.

The housing system in Genshin Impact allows for the creation and decoration of Travelers' homes. These homes are able to be accessed after completing the "A Teapot to Call Home" quest. After completing this quest, players will be able to set up their Serenitea Pot in a suitable location. Once this is done, players can then utilize and stylize their home.  With the newest "Midsummer Island Adventure" update, some nice additions and improvements are set to come inside players' homes as well.

The biggest change coming to the housing system in Version 1.6 is the ability for Companions to enter players' homes. This new feature will allow any characters players have already acquired to enter into their homes. The next update should also allow the Crafting Bench to be accessible in Co-Op Mode. So, these updates will make playing with friends and characters more immersive and efficient.

While the latest Version 1.6 livestream explained some of the changes coming to the housing system in the next update, a Genshin Impact developer log about housing has detailed what is set to come in 1.6 and  future updates. This dev log mentions some updates to the Serenitea Pot, paved roads, and a higher load limit. While the load limit upgrade is set to come in version 1.6, the paved roads do not have a confirmed timeframe yet. Other improvements expected to come include quicker dialogue with Tubby, the teapot spirit, and more decorating capabilities.

The new content should have plenty of new and exciting additions for Travelers who want to try out the Waverider, and players who want to spruce up their homes. These new features will be exciting, but the under-the-radar upgrades to the housing system will improve the game as a whole. Genshin Impact is set to see upgrades across the board with the new update, and while a lot of focus may be on an island adventure, updates to players' homes were not forgotten.
