The newest playable character coming to Genshin Impact is Rosaria. This 4-star Cryo user will be a part of Tartaglia/Childe's Banner rerun during the Version 1.4 content. Now, thanks to a new character demo, Rosaria's moveset and upgrade items have been officially revealed. Here's everything fans should know ahead of time, if they want to try to pull Rosaria through the game's Wish system.

Although Genshin Impact 1.4 has been going on for a few weeks now, Rosaria will become the first new playable character to be a part of the update. Rosaria is a Cryo user, which means she relies on ice-based damage, and she wields polearms in combat. Although rumored previously, Rosaria was officially confirmed for 1.4 during a livestream earlier this month. She'll be arriving very soon now, thanks to the Tartaglia rerun Banner.

A character demo from miHoYo on YouTube reveals Rosaria's moveset and upgrade materials. Rosaria's Normal Attack is called Spear of the Church, and it will hit enemies up to five times consecutively. When Charged, Rosaria will consume stamina and lunge forward. Rosaria's Elemental Attack is called Ravaging Confession, which puts her behind an enemy before hitting them for Cryo DMG. Her Elemental Burst, Rites of Termination, slashes at surrounding enemies before summoning an ice lance. While active, the ice lance blasts surrounding enemies for additional Cryo DMG.

Genshin Impact: Upgrade Materials To Farm For Rosaria

Just like with previous new characters, miHoYo has unveiled the upgrade items Genshin Impact players will need for Rosaria's Ascension. Ahead of the new Banner, it's a great time to start farming some of these items. This way, players can optimize Rosaria's Talents as soon as possible.

The upgrade materials include Jade and Hoarfrost Cores (both of which drop from Cryo Regisvine), and Valberries from Mondstadt. Players will also need to get a number of Ballad Talent Books and Recruit, Lieutenant, and Sergeant Insignias. Additionally, Rosaria will need Shadow of the Warrior, which can be obtained from Tartaglia/Childe. This way, players can maximize Rosaria's best build in no time.

Until Rosaria releases into Genshin Impact Version 1.4, there's no way for sure to know how great of a character she is. Previous 4-star characters have been fairly underwhelming, but it does mean she'll be more likely to pull from the Wish system. Regardless, players who've been excited for Rosaria's arrival will want to try for her anyway - and now, they at least know which upgrade materials will be needed for Ascension.
