Rest assured that your search is now over. We have your back and we've compiled a list of 10 geeky movies just for your geeky boyfriend. This is not meant to be an all-inclusive guide, more of a starting point in case you don't find anything that your boyfriend would love to watch.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

SEE IT NOW: $19.99 | STREAM IT NOW: $24.99

There's a good chance that your boyfriend has already seen and owns Avengers: Infinity War but if not, then now is the perfect time to surprise him. Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of 10 years of filmmaking and brings together just about every character from the previous films.

Every actor brings their A-game to this film, but it's worth a watch for many of the fight scenes alone. It's funny, tragic, exciting, and intense all in one package. With Avengers: Endgame on the horizon to cap off this story, it's a smart idea to rewatch this one before seeing how it all ends.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS EXTENDED TRILOGY

SEE IT NOW: $59.98 | STREAM IT NOW: $53.97

Many diehard The Lord of the Rings fans will tell you that the only way to watch these movies is to dive into the extended editions. While this trilogy is already extremely long, there's no denying how great of a job Peter Jackson did with it.

His changes from the books give the main characters more personality and an arc to complete by the end of the story. The Lord of the Rings also boasts some of the best battle scenes in cinema as well as some of the best set design and songs. If your boyfriend likes fantasy stories, this trilogy is a must-own.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

SEE IT NOW: $14.38 | STREAM IT NOW: $24.99

While the continuation of the Star Wars saga from Disney has been controversial to many fans, there's no denying the love and care that went into Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Director J.J. Abrams honed down on why people loved Star Wars in the first place and just gave more of that.

The cinematography is gorgeous, boasting some of the best shots in the entire franchise. The effects are also largely practical to counter the heavy use of CGI in the prequels, and they all look fantastic. Also, the new characters are all fun, while the returning faces are a joy to see again.

FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD

SEE IT NOW: $24.96 | STREAM IT NOW: $24.99

While the reviews for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald haven't been great, if your boyfriend is big into Harry Potter, he'll probably want this one all the same. It gives more insight as to who the infamous Gellert Grindelwald was and why he was so dangerous back in the day.

It also gives more context to the Wizarding World as a whole, showing more locations and more magical creatures than the Harry Potter series ever could. Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald, and Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore are all standout performances in the movie.

THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE

SEE IT NOW: $14.99 | STREAM IT NOW: $17.99

Who doesn't like a good Batman film? With the oversaturation of Dark Knight-related media, The LEGO Batman Movie not only comes as a celebration of the character's history, but also pokes fun at all of it. If your boyfriend has seen other Batman films (especially some of the recent ones), there's no doubt this one will get some serious laughs out of him.

It's still fun to watch if you're not familiar with Batman movie history, but the added knowledge makes it a much more enjoyable watch. It also comes with one of the most hardcore versions of the classic theme song. Give it a listen.

DEADPOOL

SEE IT NOW: $13.00 | STREAM IT NOW: $6.99

Deadpool 2 was just more of the same from the first film. Between the two, we'd easily recommend the first one. If your boyfriend has held out on seeing this one, it's a safe bet that he'll love it after the first watch. The movie is irreverent, crass, and parodical, which is everything that the Merc With a Mouth stands for. Ryan Reynolds was practically born to play the role.

The action is top-notch, the jokes are on point, and there's even an arc for the main character to see in the movie. The villain and locations leave a bit to be desired, but Ryan Reynolds' performance more than makes up those shortcomings.

BACK TO THE FUTURE TRILOGY

SEE IT NOW: $29.65 | STREAM IT NOW: $24.99

If your boyfriend hasn't seen or doesn't own the Back to the Future trilogy, then the best time to start is now. This classic series from the '80s is well-written, well-shot, well-acted, and just about everything else in between. While the mechanics of time travel are still a bit inconsistent, these movies are fun to watch back to back to back.

Michael J. Fox does an excellent job as Marty McFly, bringing a cool yet entertaining air to the main character. Then there's Christopher Lloyd as the charismatic Doc Brown, who is always looking for trouble in the best ways. These movies are classics for a reason.

THE PRINCESS BRIDE

SEE IT NOW: $7.88 | STREAM IT NOW: $14.99

The Princess Bride is one of the best movies ever made. It takes every trope and cliche from fantasy stories and throws them on their heads and what we're left with is a movie that is smart, well-shot, and downright hilarious. Very seldom does a movie come along that's anywhere near as quotable as The Princess Bride.

Some of the best jokes in cinema started with this film. What's even more impressive is that it was based on a book that many have regarded to be better than the film. If you or your boyfriend haven't seen this, we guarantee you'll enjoy it together.

MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL

SEE IT NOW: $7.99 | STREAM IT NOW: $19.99

If comedy is your boyfriend's thing, then look no further than Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Much more parodic and at times nonsensical than other movies in its class, there's a lot to enjoy here. The movies bases a lot of its humor on subversion of expectation, making a first watch one of the funniest experiences in movie history.

Many of its lines are memorable and quotable. However, if you're not in the right mindset, then you may not be able to get past the "stupidity" of it all. It should be great for your boyfriend either way though.

BLADE RUNNER 2049

SEE IT NOW: $11.97 | STREAM IT NOW: $19.99

Very seldom does a sequel of an '80s film that was released decades later end up being as good as Blade Runner 2049. While it's probably best to watch the first movie before seeing this one, you can watch this one without having done so. It's hard and edgy, being one of the best movies released that year.

Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, and Jared Leto all bring their best to this film, which ends up being a thriller for the ages. If your boyfriend likes more mature movies, then this is the one you should consider -- it's a wild ride from start to finish.
