[SPOILERS for those not caught up on Game of Thrones ahead.]

-

The first images from this week's upcoming episode of Game of Thrones tease another long-awaited reunion between two of the show's characters. Despite being just three episodes into its seven-episode run, Thrones season 7 has already emerged as one of the largest seasons that the HBO hit series has ever produced. So far, major developments include Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen arriving in Westeros with her impressive entourage and meeting Jon Snow (Kit Harington), the official King in the North, as well as Lena Headey's villainous Cersei Lannister ruling over all of the Seven Kingdoms from the Iron Throne.

However, none of this year's Game of Thrones episodes proved to be quite as monumental as this past Sunday's installment, which featured the highly-anticipated first meeting between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, bringing together a number of notable supporting characters along with them. With Jon Snow still on the island of Dragonstone for the time being, it looks as though this week's upcoming episode may just feature even more exciting interactions between some of the show's main characters.

Based on the first images that HBO released from the episode, titled "The Spoils of War", that appears to include a reunion between Jon Snow and Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen), as the latter returns to Dragonstone to meet with Daenerys and her war counselors. The images also tease more scenes between Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster Waldau) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn), in addition to Cersei's continued meetings with The Iron Bank (represented by Mark Gatiss' Tycho Nestoris). If, as the images suggest, Jon and Theon do cross paths in this new episode, then this will be the first time that the two characters have seen each other since Jon departed for the Night's Watch back at the beginning of the show's first season. It'll be interesting as well, to see how Jon may or may not still hold Theon accountable for his taking of Winterfell and faked murder of Bran and Rickon in the second season, especially after he went on to rescue Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) from Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) at the end of the fifth season.

Jon won't be the only one that Theon will be questioned by in the new episode either, with Dany likely eager to know what happened during his and Yara's battle with Euron Greyjoy, a couple episodes back. That defeat - along with the loss of the Tyrells this past Sunday night - have been part of a string of unfortunate losses for Dany, since she arrived at Dragonstone. Fortunately, as the promo for "The Spoils of War" has teased, Dany's losing streak may be coming to an end by the time that this week's episode is over.
