Here's Hannah John-Kamen's Game Of Thrones character Ornela explained. The TV adaptation of Game Of Thrones was almost doomed right out of the gates. Bringing George R.R. Martin's epic novels to the screen was always going to be a daunting task, but the original pilot episode was famously so bad its never been released. Chief complaints of this episode is that it was leaden and dull, with character relationships being so poorly defined test audiences didn't realize Cersei and Jaime Lannister were sister and brother. Around 90% of it was reshot before airing, and Game Of Thrones would eventually become one of the biggest shows of all time.

Several sequences from Game Of Thrones have been infamous, such as a shock execution in episode 9 of the first series or season 3's Red Wedding. The show eventually overtook its source novels, with season 6 onwards being made up of original material. For this reason, the response to later series - season 8 in particular - has been mixed, with the show's finale proving especially divisive. Still, the show retains a loyal fandom and a prequel show called House Of The Dragon is currently in development.

Several notable guest stars rolled through Game Of Thrones over the years, including Ian McShane, Max Von Sydow, and Richard E. Grant. Hannah John-Kamen first made her name on TV series Killjoys, before landing roles in Ready Player One and Ant-Man & The Wasp. She appeared during Game Of Thrones season 6 as Ornela, who Daenerys meets when she becomes a prisoner of the khalasar. Since she's a widow of Khal Drago (Jason Momoa, Aquaman), Daenerys is forced to join the dosh khaleen, a temple comprised of Khal widows.

This is where Daenerys meets Hannah John-Kamen's Ornela, who was married off to her khal at the age of 12, who later died when she was 16. When Jorah and Daario later arrive to rescue Daenerys they almost kill Ornela, but Daenerys convinces them to spare her. This episode of Game Of Thrones ends with Ornela taking Daenerys to see the khalar vezhven, who Daenerys later slaughters by burning down their temple and trapping them inside. Ornela is among those who bow when Daenerys emerges unburnt from the fire.

Hannah John-Kamen's role on Games Of Thrones was ultimately a small one, but even with her brief screentime, she managed to make an impression. Ornela isn't seen after the "Book Of The Stranger" episode, but presumably she was free to live a happier, healthier life after being freed from the dosh khaleen.
