The November 2021 additions for Xbox Game Pass include Mortal Shell and real-time strategy game Evil Genius 2: World Domination. Launched over four years ago in the summer of 2017, Xbox Game Pass evolved into the gold standard for game-based streaming services by offering what many deem the best deal in gaming.

At its base level, Game Pass costs $9.99 per month for console or PC and provides members with more than 100 games to play at any given time on their respective platform. Subscriber discounts act as a good bonus, yet it's the same-day release for Xbox Game Studios titles that truly seals the deal for most. A few third-party releases such as this year's Outriders and Back 4 Blood have further added to the service's overall quality of offerings. The revolving door of new additions keeps members invested as well, especially since many a hidden gem has been known to catch Game Pass subscribers by surprise.

An Xbox Wire post revealed the titles slated to hit Game Pass for the remainder of November, starting with Dead Space and Dragon Age: Origins coming to the service today, November 16, via EA Play (Cloud). My Friend Pedro returns on November 18 for Cloud, Console, and PC users; that same date will additionally see Exo One, Fae Tactics, and Undungeon enter the mix. On November 23, subscribers can begin exploring Soulslike title Mortal Shell and Deeeer Simulator, the latter of which drops players into the hooves of an average, everyday deer. Evil Genius 2's Game Pass debut was previously teased; thus, its scheduled arrival for November 30 comes as no surprise.

Developer Cold Symmetry switches up the Soulslike formula in Mortal Shell by trading in Classes for Shells, the remains of deceased warriors that players don to gain new skills and combat abilities. Many consider it among the best Dark Souls-esque experiences to date. Meanwhile, Rebellion Developments' Evil Genius 2 turns users into the criminal mastermind in an RTS all about world domination.

This latest selection of titles helps round out what's undoubtedly been an incredible year for Xbox Game Pass as a whole. And the evidence of such success is on display in the service's continuously growing subscription numbers. Approximately 23 million people had joined the service as of April 2021; given the imminence of Halo Infinite's release, the figure will likely climb even higher in the weeks ahead.
