The Stark family are the true heroes within Game Of Thrones, being the moral compass of the show and as the passionate northerners, they fight for what they believe in and try to always do right by others. Fighting is something this family has to do a lot of throughout the series, and it is something that they do very well.

The show has plenty of battles and one-on-one fights, and the Starks end up in their fair share of those. However, they stand up well and always seem to give as good as they get, coming out on top more often than not. Still, it's a wonder who is the best fighter of the family.

Rickon Stark

Rickon Stark is only a young boy in Game Of Thrones, and he never gets the chance to fully grow into a young man where his fighting skills would be showcased. Because of that, he is seen as the weakest member of the family in terms of fighting, but he does have bravery within him.

Rickon was trained well at Winterfell in terms of how to fight properly, which is something that all of the family has as a base. However, he doesn't get to showcase those abilities anywhere near as much as his siblings.

Catelyn Stark

Catelyn Stark in Game Of Thrones

Like Rickon, Catelyn Stark isn't really showcased in fight scenes throughout her time on Game Of Thrones. That's not the role she takes up within the family, and because of that she is seen as one of the weaker members of House Stark by default.

However, she is tough when it comes to protecting her family and she will do whatever it takes to look after her children to the best of her ability. She's a fierce mother and that is something that proves she is a fighter.

Sansa Stark

Sansa isn't really a fighter in terms of swords or punches, as that's not the world she is placed into. Unlike her sister, Sansa is able to go through the series without having to physically fight much, but she does prove herself to be a resilient character and someone who is capable of standing up for herself when needed.

Sansa can be ruthless, which is something she gets from her mother, and from her time with Cersei Lannister. While she might not be as strong of well equipped to fight as other family members, she can play the mind games better than all of them.

Bran Stark

Obviously, due to the fact Bran Stark loses his ability to walk after the first episode, he's not someone who is having lots of fights within the show either. Because of that, he's not one of the greatest fighters in the family, as he's instead seen as a great mind.

However, while he can't mix it up with a sword or a bow and arrow like other family members, the fact he is a Warg gives him an advantage in a fight. His ability to control others and fight in that manner is something that does give him an edge over some of his family members. When he Wargs into Hodor, he can be pretty unstoppable.

Benjen Stark

Benjen Stark is the mystery man of the family, not really being seen a lot throughout the series. However, when he does appear, Benjen more than holds his own when it comes to his fighting ability, proving he is a true Stark at heart.

He holds nothing back when it comes to fighting, battling well against every enemy he encounters, plus with his ability to survive alone, Benjen clearly knows how to fight against the strongest of enemies.

Theon Greyjoy

While Theon Greyjoy is obviously not born into the Stark family, as he's a member of House Greyjoy, he is brought in to be with the Stark family from a young age. Though he makes some poor decisions along the way, he is ultimately seen as a true Stark member by the rest of them, showcasing that by literally dying to protect Bran.

Theon goes through a true rollercoaster journey throughout the show, and he always proves himself to be a great fighter along the way. Theon battles well against anybody, more than holding his own in any fight, which mainly comes down to how he learns as a young man with the family.

Robb Stark

Robb Stark in Game Of Thrones

Robb Stark grows up alongside Theon Greyjoy and learns his ways with him. He is taught well by his father and it becomes clear that he's a highly skilled fighter when he is thrust into battle. Robb is a leader of men and someone who is a natural in that position, fighting from the front.

He showcases terrific sword fighting skills in battle, and the fact he's only taken down by a scheming plot behind his back highlights that. In a fight, few are able to match Robb, with his technique being amongst the best.

Ned Stark

The reason that all of his family are such strong and powerful characters is because of the fact that Ned Stark is one of the greatest fighters on the show. While he's not shown at his peak in the series, or in too many battles, when Ned does need to fight it becomes clear that he can handle himself.

Ned is a true leader and someone who has amazing sword skills. The fact that he's so confident that he can go on and teach the rest of his family proves Ned knows he has a talent, and that makes him an even more impressive fighter.

Arya Stark

From a young age, it is clear that Arya wants to be a fighter and follow in her father's footsteps. While it takes things going wrong for the family for her to start training, she quickly becomes one of the greatest fighters in the entire show, with amazing agility and ability.

Trained in a whole host of different skills, Arya is able to move silently, work in the dark, and take on the faces of others. It makes her a real all around fighter and someone who is unpredictable and a true danger in any battle.

Jon Snow

Jon Snow in season 8 of Game of Thrones

Jon Snow just surpasses his younger sister, purely because of the fact he is more of a leader and has a little more physicality. He can use a variety of weapons and fights against some of the most powerful enemies that the show has to offer, from giants to White Walkers.

Jon, just like Robb, is excellent with a sword at his hand. While Robb and Theon were a little more arrogant, Jon was always focused and that's clear with the skills he has, and his time at The Wall only makes him more resilient and a stronger fighter overall.
