The Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones are two of the biggest television franchises of all time. They both tell the classic story of good vs. evil, however, each show does a great job in blurring those lines, with every character realistically being out for themselves in a bid for survival and power. The characters within each show are complex individuals, and that's what makes them great.

While the characters all come together in a bid to defeat the enemy that is grander than them, when it comes to being against each other, their human flaws often shine through. But if they were to come together to destroy the Walkers of the world (White or not), which characters would work together and which would fail to see eye to eye?

Would Work: Tormund Giantsbane & Abraham Ford

Tormund Giantsbane from Game Of Thrones and Abraham Ford from The Walking Dead

While both of these shows are known for having a lot of inner politics, with characters who know how to play the game to position themselves into power, they're also heavy on action and fighting. Both Tormund Giantsbane and Abraham Ford thrive when it comes to that, with their no-nonsense approach being something that serves them both well.

They're two physical behemoths who dominate everyone around them, and they have fun while doing it. While they could easily hurt others, for the most part, they're kind souls who like to have fun where they can, but when messed with the two would come together to cause havoc.

Wouldn't Work: Samwell Tarly & Shane Walsh

Samwell Tarly from Game Of Thrones and Shane from The Walking Dead

Shane Walsh and Samwell Tarly are simply two different personalities, and put together, they wouldn't combine well. Shane is a natural leader and someone who wants to be in charge of every situation, and he does that by being bossy and showcasing his skills physically.

Their issues would stem from the fact Sam is the total opposite of that. He's not a fighter and would rather be researching and working out ways to survive, and unfortunately for him, Shane would view that as a weakness, which would lead to tempers flying between them both.

Would Work: Jon Snow & Glenn Rhee

Jon Snow from Game Of Thrones and Glenn Rhee from The Walking Dead

When it comes to sheer likability, Jon Snow and Glenn Rhee would be perfect friends. They're two people who will do whatever it takes for others and they do work as two of the best heroes on their shows. They're always on the right side of situations on a moral problem, and they never want to overdo things when it comes to violence if it's not needed.

Each man is willing to give people a chance when necessary, yet at the same time won't be made a fool out of. They wear their hearts on their sleeves and showcase their emotion constantly and together, they would make perfect friends.

Wouldn't Work: Joffrey Baratheon & Hershel Greene

Joffrey Baratheon from Game Of Thrones and Hershel from The Walking Dead

Hershel Greene was one of The Walking Dead's greatest characters and a big reason for that was the calming nature that he brought to the group. He had a lot of life experience and he was happy to share that, he often provided great advice to other people and was always calm under pressure, unlike a lot of other characters.

However, that isn't how Joffrey operated. Joffrey is someone who would have major temper tantrums on a regular basis, and unlike Hershel's calmer nature, Joffrey would be ruthless, seemingly taking joy in hurting others. He was a character who would never take advice from other people, which would likely cause friction against Hershel.

Would Work: Petyr Baelish & Philip Blake

Littlefinger from Game Of Thrones and The Governor from The Walking Dead

When it comes to being cunning and sneaky, few characters do it better than Petyr Baelish and Philip Blake, who is best known as The Governor. Each of them is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure they're in positions of power as they know that vulnerability in their worlds is often a precursor for death.

They are happy to play people for their own benefit, tossing them to the side whenever they've finished with them. Each of them has a truly ruthless edge in terms of hurting other people, and together they would no doubt be plotting and scheming to harm others.

Wouldn't Work: Ramsay Bolton & Daryl Dixon

Ramsay Bolton from Game of Thrones and Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead

Ramsay Bolton was another ruthless character who didn't care about hurting others or doing what it takes to get what he wants. In a way, he does have things in common with Daryl Dixon, because the motorcycle-riding man is one of The Walking Dead's most aggressive characters as well, taking out plenty of enemies along the way.

However, the difference between them is how their morals work. While Ramsay is happy to torture people and causes as much pain as possible in a sadistic manner, Daryl wouldn't do that. He has no problem in taking out enemies, but he would never take the same pleasure in doing so that Ramsay does.

Would Work: Sansa Stark & Carol Peletier

Sansa Stark from Game Of Thrones and Carol from The Walking Dead

The one thing that these two characters have in common is the fact that they're both survivors. Each of them goes through a lot of mental and physical trauma in the show, and that does alter the way both of them view the world and the manner in which they behave.

They're two characters who will do whatever it takes to survive, and each of them ends up becoming strong and powerful characters in their own rights. While Carol is a little more physically ruthless, the two of them would work well together as friends.

Wouldn't Work: The Hound & Eugene Porter

The Hound from Game Of Thrones and Eugene from Walking Dead

The Hound is someone who prefers to let his actions do the talking, and isn't one to do much chatting if he can help it, which is why Eugene Porter wouldn't be a good friend for him. He has no problem talking, often over-explaining everything to the point where it would annoy The Hound.

While Eugene does end up becoming someone who is able to fight and stand up for himself, early on in the show he's very much a coward, which is something that would have angered The Hound overall.

Would Work: Arya Stark & Carl Grimes

Arya Stark from Game Of Thrones and Carl Grimes from The Walking Dead

Both Arya Stark and Carl Grimes are forced to grow up fast on their respective shows, and they do so in similar ways. Initially being quite timid and quiet characters, they both end up evolving into badasses who are prepared to take down anybody in their way to get what they want.

Each character can be emotional at times, but that is only really in relation to their family, as they know when to close things off and stay focused. Plus, together they would be an almost unstoppable duo when it comes to taking down potential enemies, as they're lethal.

Wouldn't Work: Ned Stark & Rick Grimes

Ned Stark from Game Of Thrones and Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead

Ned Stark and Rick Grimes are two noble leaders who try to do their best for everyone that they work with. They want to try and make their worlds a better place, and that's something that makes them heroes in their stories. However, that doesn't mean that they'd actually get along as friends.

Ned likes to do everything by the book, playing by the rules no matter what situation he ends up in, but that's the opposite of how Rick operates. While he also tries to do things for the greater good, he is a lot more ruthless, willing to cut corners and hurt whoever he needs in order to get what he wants.
