Bringing up the topic of Game of Thrones ever since the series finale has a mixed response from the fanbase, as the ending was met with a polarizing response. Surprisingly, though, memes are one area that benefited out of it, seeing as we’ve got a whole lot of these since the conclusion of the series.

However, Jon Snow was one such character who always had memes dedicated to him right from the start, and his awkward personality meant he contributed toward fans making even more memes. We think it’s better to remember the show in a more positive light, and so here are 10 hilarious memes of Jon Snow that you’ll love.

He Gets S'now Breaks

Those unaware of Game of Thrones will definitely attest to this theme, as Jon Snow is exclusively promoted in media releases with this expression. Fans of the show know this well too, considering that Jon didn’t have many happy times in any case.

For this reason, he’s generally known as the perpetually distressed protagonist, one you can’t find in any other shows. As to why people have noticed this so much about him has to do with how dramatic he makes his exasperated moments, making you want to give him a consolatory hug.

Remember That Mystery?

The peak of Jon Snow memes were a few years ago at the time of his death, where fans went on a rampage on the internet. While it wasn’t the most well-received episode of the season, it easily made viewers anticipate Season 6.

Since the showrunners were playing coy whether Jon was indeed dead or still alive, fans started comparing Jon to Schrodinger's cat. Funnily enough, this was the best way to put the situation in context, seeing as we really didn’t know what Jon’s status was supposed to be.

Doesn't Understand Joy

Maybe the reason why Jon is perpetually distressed is because he doesn’t know what it’s like to enjoy himself. After all, the guy always has some tragedy befall him the moment he finally seems to find happiness.

So, we can assume perhaps Jon himself might be to blame for his worried demeanor, as his constant misfortunes have meant he’s come to despise the idea of fun. You know that’s kind of true once you check out this meme and can easily picture him saying these words.

A Bit Too True

There was a great build-up toward the eventual meeting between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, with the road to this meetup paved with a lot of hurdles. The most believable of these was her former marriage status, apart from which everything about this coupling was weird.

Firstly, she was a mother - of actual dragons. If any people might think that’s not too weird, then let’s remind you that Jon was her nephew...and her lover as well. To this end, this meme is both hilarious and a bit too real.

A King's Introduction

While Game of Thrones wasn’t a comedy series, it certainly did have its fair share of jokes, most of which were awkward moments played up for amusement. After about six years of waiting, we got to see Jon and Daenerys meet, which was instantly turned into a comedic scene.

Having a long list of titles, Daenerys made Jon look like a boy compared to her, which was made only more striking when Davos announced him simply as Jon Snow. Perhaps Jon would’ve looked more intimidating had this meme played out in actuality.

Jon's Got No Game

Most of the show’s characters were quite straight forward when it came to the matters of wooing, but Jon generally didn’t seem to have much of a clue. His romance with Daenerys, in particular, had to do with him skirting around the point.

In case you haven’t watched the show in a while, then you might just believe this was an actual scene that took place. Since Jon was usually messing up in the areas of romance, he might as well have ended up complimenting his own looks over Daenerys’.

Jaime Lannister Approves

The infamous pairing of Cersei and Jaime Lannister was one of the talking points of Game of Thrones for many years, and nobody really thought there could ever be a weirder pairing. That is, until we had the relationship between Jon and Daenerys.

Everybody retched when they found out that Daenerys was actually Jon’s aunt, but Jaime could never be in a position to make any judgments. This is why this meme instead has him congratulating Jon, seeing as Jaime isn’t the only one with a messed up romance anymore.

This Should Have Happened

Most were expecting Jon Snow to return much stronger after his resurrection. These scenarios weren’t unfounded either, since Game of Thrones has been compared to The Lord of the Rings, making it natural that people would assume something of a Gandalf the White situation.

Had that happened, then we wouldn’t have had it any other way than bringing Jon Snow back as a “white” version the way Gandalf did. Despite the meme poking fun at him being “Snow-white” we think it would’ve been cool to see a different color scheme for Jon Snow.

He's A Keeper

Only a few other media franchises have brought similar strong female characters like Daenerys, and she was celebrated as such due to Daenerys also retaining her motherly side rather than simply being an independent fighter.

As she was considered to literally be the mother of her dragons, Jon Snow being able to come near Drogon was like a potential stepfather proving himself up to the task. We can definitely see this being the moment she fell for him.

He Just Wants To Sing

When fans’ shock at Jon Snow’s death had subsided, it was time for the fallout from this revelation to turn into comedic territory. His surname is the easiest place to start for such things, and this was quickly combined with his death.

This meme suggests Jon wasn’t dead to begin with, and was just lying on the snow having some deep thoughts. Those aware of the band Snow Patrol will recall their hit, “Chasing Cars,” where the lead singer lies on his back the whole time - looks like Jon is a fan who just wanted to have his own version of the song.
