As such, it doesn't take an astrologist to point out a few tell-tale characteristics for specific Zodiac signs, since there were so many different unique personalities on this show, with someone for everyone to relate to in some fashion.

Updated on October 19th, 2021 by Kevin Pantoja: It's difficult to find a show that has as large an ensemble cast of characters as Game of Thrones. Not only were there plenty of iconic characters showcased in almost every episode but almost all of them were pivotal to the overall plot. They went on to become incredibly popular, helping a fantasy series that could've been niche turn into a global phenomenon. Their personalities were fleshed out greatly over the show's eight seasons, which makes it interesting to see them lined up with the various signs of the zodiac.

Aries - Daenerys Targaryen

Emilia Clarke as Daenerys in Game of Thrones

Aries is a fire sign, so this lines up with this character right off the bat. Aries are typically ambitious and confident, making them natural leaders, much like she is. Daenerys showed confidence in everything she did and had huge aspirations to one day sit on the Iron Throne.

However, these traits can also lead to aggression and impulsivity, something that Daenerys Targaryen struggled with mightily as the show progressed. There are plenty of Aries candidates in Game of Thrones, but she might be the most accurate representation.

Taurus - Eddard Stark

A Taurus is a grounded, peaceful person who is reliable when asked to do something. These people like staying on an even-keel, never getting too high or too low. Such was the way of Eddard "Ned" Stark, the patriarch of the Starks of Winterfell.

Ned Stark was a simple man at his core, who just wanted to raise his children properly and for Winterfell to prosper. He was not afraid to do what was necessary to make that happen, which then allowed him to enjoy the fruits of his labor, something that every Taurus appreciates.

Gemini - Jaime Lannister

What a rollercoaster Jaime Lannister went through on Game of ThronesHe went from being a clear-cut villain to a lovable underdog, then back to a villain once again. It's difficult to know what to expect with Geminis, a sign that is known for its dual personalities, much like no one ever knew what to expect out of Jaime Lannister.

A Gemini is a talented and quick learner, very much like he was. But there are two sides to the coin, with one being far better than the other, unfortunately.

Cancer - Samwell Tarly

Cancers usually make very good friends, for they tend to be emotional, caring people. This is what Samwell Tarly was to Jon Snow, the latter of which was the show's hero during the later seasons.

Samwell Tarly might not have been the most gifted on the battlefield, but he was able to use his mind and his kind touch to positively affect the people around him. This allowed him to become a valuable asset to any team he was on.

Leo - Sansa Stark

Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones

Heaven help anyone who fails to give a Leo the respect they deserve, for they do not take this sort of thing kindly. Sansa Stark began Game of Thrones as a naive teenager just trying to marry a prince but finished it as a powerful ruler that commanded the respect of everyone.

Leos can be a bit stubborn, like she was, and never lack self-confidence. Winterfell was in good hands under Sansa Stark because of these personality traits.

Virgo - Jon Snow

Jon Snow in Game of Thrones

Jon Snow was not the kind of person to let his guard down easily. Virgos are known for being hardworking, to the point that it often affects their social lives.

Jon Snow seemed to spend 90% of the show brooding, constantly focusing on being a hero and honorable in lieu of having any fun or doing anything questionable whatsoever. This makes for a great person to have on the team when things get testy.

Libra - Tyrion Lannister

Tyrion Lannister

Libras are social butterflies who find it easy to make friends and connect with people. With the number of tough situations that Tyrion Lannister miraculously survived, it is clear that he had the gift of gab. What's more, they value balance in life, which is one of the things he tried to instill in Daenerys Targaryen as her advisor.

Alas, no one could wrangle in Daenerys Targaryan after a while, but Tyrion Lannister always sought to achieve perfect harmony.

Scorpio - Arya Stark

Although Arya Stark was small in stature, she had enough bravery and resourcefulness for ten men to live on. Scorpios make do with what they have regardless of the obstacles like Arya Stark did for several seasons after she escaped from King's Landing.

This sign is also known to be quite secretive. She did not always have many secrets to keep, but she eventually became a mysterious warrior whose motives were always unclear, like a true Scorpio.

Sagittarius - Robert Baratheon

A Sagittarius can be a bit rough around the edges. They do not do politics well, for they seem to always say exactly what is on their mind and certainly value a good time, sometimes a little too much. This describes Robert Baratheon, the former ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, to a tee.

Although he excelled in certain areas, his boisterous nature could cause a bit of trouble for himself and others. Sagittarius will certainly be the life of the party sometimes, but will also be the reason the party ends prematurely other times.

Capricorn - Petyr Baelish

Littlefinger in Game of Thrones

A Capricorn is at his or her best in management situations. These people have a knack for looking over several people at once, all of whom are helping them progress professionally, socially, and more. They never sway from being realistic, however, for they understand the true nature of people and the world.

Petyr Baelish's gradual, meticulous rise in power is indicative of a Capricorn. If not for his own greed and lack of morals, he might have made it all the way to the top.

Aquarius - Margaery Tyrell

You can always count on an Aquarius to help others. There is not much humanitarianism in Game of Thrones, but Margaery Tyrell provided much of it in her attempts to help the poor in King's Landing.

She was also an independent woman who was not easily intimidated, another sign of an Aquarius. She was only the queen for a brief time, but she made her mark with viewers nonetheless.

Pisces - Jorah Mormont

A Pisces can be loyal to the point of being overly-trusting and a bit clingy, an issue that Ser Jorah Mormont went through in relation to Daenerys Targaryen. However, a Pisces can be trusted to deliver sound advice and to truly care for their loved ones, two areas in which Jorah obviously excelled.

This sign can be prone to long bouts of sadness, as Mormont had multiple times. In the end, though, his compassion served him and his queen well.
