The first season of the new FXX comedy Dave, inspired by the life of rapper Dave Burd, aka Lil Dicky, has finally wrapped up with the release of its 10th episode. Brilliantly telling the story of Burd's journey through the complicated rap stardom scene, the series' first 10 episodes were full of incredible and hysterical storytelling, as well as its fair share of celebrity cameos.

For the most part, these cameos were the traditional one or two-minute appearances, while others stretched over the course of an episode or two. From other members of the music industry to television and radio stars, here are 10 of the best celebrity cameos through the first 10 episodes of Dave.
Macklemore
Throughout the series, and through most of Lil Dicky's career, there's a constant comparison between him and Grammy award-winning artist Macklemore. So, when Macklemore made arguably the smallest cameo imaginable in the second episode of Dave, it felt like he was purposely poking fun at those comparisons.
Macklemore's cameo was also great in the way it completely cut the momentum from the episode. Taking over as the performer at a young boy's funeral, something Dave had been preparing for and stressing over the entire episode, Macklemore's appearance was just as hilarious as it was important for the flow of the episode.
MadeinTYO
During the fifth episode of the season, titled "Hype Man", Atlanta rapper MadeinTYO made another one of the show's shortest cameos. As Dave looks for inspiration on what to make his live shows better, he attends a MadeinTYO concert.
It's an insanely quick appearance, but in less than a minute, the cameo helps set up one of the major themes of the entire episode.
YG
YG's appearance throughout the first episode of Dave is far from the Compton native's first time on screen. Since 2012, the artist has been on the screen several times, both as himself and playing a character.
He actually plays a pretty significant part in the show, beyond just being the first major cameo in the series. YG was the perfect choice to represent the established rappers that Dave would be trying to impress in the music industry, which would ultimately happen at the end of the debut episode.
Young Thug & Gunna
While some of the show's cameos helped push along the narrative of that specific episode, others helped do the same for the entire show. One consistent aspect of the series plays on how uncomfortable Dave is when interacting with other rappers, like Young Thug and Gunna.
In the show's fourth episode, "Somebody...", a scene featuring Thug and his disciple Gunna helps showcase that awkwardness perfectly. It jokes at just how little Dave fits in with the rest of the rap industry, despite being so enamored by his fellow artists.
Justin Bieber
It's no secret that Justin Bieber has been one of Lil Dicky's best friends in the music industry. So it only made sense that he would join the stacked list of cameos in Dave.
Bieber is basically used as another example of those that Dave finds himself in awe of and, in turn, wildly awkward with. Although there were several before him, he was also another cameo that showed the star power that Dicky could get on the show. As awkward as this version of himself is, Dave Burd has no doubt made his presence felt in the music industry and has made some serious connections and friendships along the way.
Kourtney Kardashian
Speaking of star power, Kourtney Kardashian is by far one of, if not the most surprising celebrity cameos in all of Dave. At the same time, she's also probably one of the funniest.
Part of what made her cameo such a cool addition to the show was that it was one of the few recent moments we've seen her out of the light of the rest of her family. In fact, it's probably one of the first times in a long time we've seen her truly acting, and not just being followed around by cameras for reality television. Kourtney's cameo on the show wasn't just another example of Dave interacting with high profile celebrities, but an incredibly funny interaction in which Dave actually handled himself pretty well.
The Breakfast Club
One of the latest cameos taking place in the series finale was that of the popular radio show The Breakfast Club. The show, featuring Charlamagne tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy, actually helps close out the final scene of the series' first season.
The entire scene was just as uncomfortable as it was funny, as Charlamagne and Angela play on the contempt that Dicky has received from critics of the industry. Another cool element of their cameo is its playing on an actual hilarious interview between Dicky and the Breakfast Club, in which he actually explains that he always introduced himself as Dave and not Lil Dicky.
Marshmello
Even without uttering a single word, Marshmello has arguably the funniest cameo in the entire show. In the scene that shows him being pestered by Travis "Taco" Bennett's Elz, there's nothing funnier than him headbutting Elz in front of the entire party. Without one speaking line, Marshmello's cameo was nothing short of incredible.
Trippie Redd
The best cameos on the show are undoubtedly those that carried over several episodes. The first of those being that of Trippie Redd. Meant to portray an intimidating figure in the rap game, Trippie Redd adds some incredible humor to those episodes without even trying.
It's hard to tell, at some points, whether or not Trippie is acting or just being himself, but in either case, it just unexplainably works. His presence on the show is more than just a means of portraying some element of the music industry, it truly helps build on some of the interesting narratives that make the show so great. There's no word yet as to whether or not Dave will return for a second season, but in the event that it does, it'd benefit from having Trippie Redd back for a few more episodes.
Benny Blanco
Another one of Lil Dicky's best friends in the music industry is producer and songwriter Benny Blanco. It only makes sense considering how much the two look alike. It also made his time on the show responsible for some of the most authentically funny moments the series had to offer.
The flow of their scenes together is incredibly smooth and the chemistry between the two is undeniable and hysterical. Blanco easily could've been a series regular, but he only appeared in short spurts throughout a couple of episodes, making his role more of a cameo than anything else. If the show does eventually come back for another season, one has to hope that Benny Blanco will be brought back for a much more significant role.
