The Razzies are the infamous awards that highlight the worst performances in the movies. While no actor wants to "win" one of these trophies, the whole thing is delivered in a rather tongue-in-cheek way with some actors even showing up to the ceremony to accept their award.

Of course, there is often a fine line between something being bad and something being fun. Some of the actors have won Razzies for movie roles that were actually quite funny in their wackiness. Sometimes, the humor might not have been totally intentional but they still made for hilarious performances.

Jesse Eisenberg - Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice (2016)

When Batman V Superman brought the two iconic heroes together, a suitable villain was needed as well. Though a very talented actor, Jesse Eisenberg felt like a very odd choice compared to other versions of Lex Luthor. Sure enough, he tried something very different with the role.

As a younger Luthor sporting a distracting wig, Eisenberg turned the megalomaniacal comic book villain into an awkward and twitchy young eccentric. With a performance filled with odd quirks, Eisenberg actually added a fun spark in the otherwise dour comic book movie.

Pauly Shore - Encino Man (1992)

Pauly Shore is an actor who has the rare distinction of winning back-to-back Razzies for Worst Actor. But his first Razzie came when he was dubbed Worst New Star in the comedy Encino Man. Shore made the jump from stand-up to movies in this tale of high school outcasts who find a frozen caveman and introduce him to the 90s.

Shore's onscreen persona is certainly one that will be grating to some, and he clearly rubbed people the wrong way from the beginning of his career. But those who grew up in the 90s will surely have some nostalgic memories of Shore's silly performance.

Elizabeth Berkley - Showgirls (1995)

As one of the most famous so-bad-it's-good movies of all time, Showgirls was a big winner at the Razzies when it was released. The movie stars Elizabeth Berkley as a young woman who begins a career as a dancer in Las Vegas where she is introduced to a wild and seedy world.

Berkely was mostly known for her role on Saved by the Bell at the time and Showgirls was her attempt to move into more adult roles. But with plenty of cheesy dialogue to deliver and Berkley's high-strung energy, it's not hard to find the humor in the role even if it wasn't intended.

Eddie Redmayne - Jupiter Ascending (2015)

Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne has made some great movies in his career and delivered some fantastic performances. However, the choices he made for his role in the sci-fi adventure Jupiter Ascending are quite baffling and very compelling.

Redmayne plays the villainous Balem Abrasax, a member of intergalactic royalty. Appropriately, Redmayne's performance seems to originate from another planet as he delivers his dialogue in a strange whisper occasionally punctuated by unhinged yelling that is quite funny to witness.

Ahmed Best - Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (1999)

Though fan reception of the Star Wars prequels remains divided, most can agree that Ahmed Best was treated quite unfairly throughout the experience. Best played Jar Jar Binks in The Phantom Menace and was used as an easy example of everything that was wrong with the movie.

While Jar Jar is perhaps a bit too front-and-center for a comic relief character, Best is a skilled comedic performer to bring such an unusual character to life. Thankfully, fan reception to Best's performance has improved over time, especially with the popular Darth Jar Jar theory.

Spice Girls – Spice World (1997)

It's easy to forget just how big the Spice Girls were in the 90s, so much so that they starred as themselves in their own fictional movie. But with such popular musicians stepping into the movie world, the Razzies were all too eager to pounce when the movie was met with poor reviews.

However, in the years since the movie has come out, Spice World has developed a new appreciation among fans. The campy and silly energy was perhaps ahead of its time and the girls themselves deliver fun performances.

Tom Selleck - Christopher Columbus: The Discovery (1992)

The story of Christopher Columbus discovering America would seem to be an obvious Oscar contender. But Christopher Columbus: The Discovery turned out to be a rather forgettable movie, save for one hilarious bit of miscasting.

Though Tom Selleck is wonderful as heroes on shows like Magnum P.I. and Blue Bloods, he was the wrong choice to play King Ferdinand. It is very silly to see him in the costume and delivering these lines, but it adds some laughs in the dull movie.

Adam Sandler - Big Daddy (1999)

Though audiences seem to love his movies, critics have rarely been kind to Adam Sandler. He has been "honored" at the Razzies many times, but sometimes it feels like the awards are picking on him rather than really considering the movie.

Big Daddy stars Sandler as a middle-aged slacker who finds himself taking care of an orphaned child. Though it is not an Oscar-caliber movie by any means, it is an entertaining comedy and Sandler delivers a sweet and funny performance.

Al Pacino - Jack And Jill (2011)

Though Sandler was also targeted by the Razzies for his movie Jack and Jill, he wasn't the only big name to feel their wrath. Al Pacino stepped into the world of comedy to play himself as he falls in love with Jill (Sandler).

The movie itself earned a lot of the critical bashing it received as it is a lazy one-joke premise. However, it is pretty fun watching Pacino goof around in this movie and lampoon his image. His Dunkin Donuts commercial at the end of the movie is a particular highlight.

John Travolta - The Fanatic (2019)

Though John Travolta made an incredible comeback with Pulp Fiction, he has recently been relegated to VOD movies that seem to come and go without much notice. However, The Fanatic was a bizarre enough movie to get some attention.

Travolta plays a lonely film fan who begins stalking his favorite action star. Though Travolta is surely meant to be menacing in the role, his goofy look and strange performance make it a movie that is a blast to watch for all the wrong reasons.
