When it comes to comic book readers, being told to stay indoors with one's collectibles and a backlog of comics isn't the worst thing that could happen. However, there is one exception, comic conventions. The rampant spread of COVID-19 has unfortunately caused the cancelation of large gatherings, and for pop culture lovers, this spells a year without getting to cosplay as one's favorite characters or witness exclusive sneak peeks to upcoming stuff via intriguing celebrity panels. With this wave of cancellations comes the cancellation of the mecca of comic book conventions, San Diego Comic-Con. Even though the physical convention itself is canceled, this didn't prevent Funko from debuting their new exclusive Pops meant for distribution at the event.

Although there is no longer a real-world gather, San Diego Comic-Con has found an alternative way to function in an age of at-home lockdowns. A digital edition of the event is now happening on July 22-26. Fans will be able to explore a virtual floor room and still get an early inside scoop on what is to come next in the world of comic books.

While Funko is most famous for their Pop Vinyl figures, they actually started out with various other collectibles until finally striking the gold that is the Pops line. Initially, the company got its start by designing vinyl coin banks in the shape of the famous Big Boy mascot, soon expanding to bobbleheads of famous licensed cereal characters. The first Pop! line was revealed in 2010, kicking things off with a Batman vinyl, which eventually grew into the massive licensed collectible brand that it is today.

As per every convention, the list of exclusives is absolutely massive and includes some really neat Funko's that every collector is going to want to get their hands on. This year features a slew of awesome Ad Icons, some seriously hilarious Anchorman characters, and a ton more amazing comic book and pop culture figures. Perhaps one of the coolest unveils for this year is the new exclusive Stan Lee Iron Man Cameo Pop, which forever memorializes Stan Lee's first MCU cameo in Funko form. The exclusives also include some anniversary celebrations, such as a Marty Mcfly for Back to the Future's 35th anniversary, as well as movie versions of Nightcrawler and the first live-action Deadpool (that everyone tries to pretend didn't exist) in celebration of X-Men's 20th movie anniversary. Below is a gallery of the reveals from Funko's twitter:

Whether you love Marvel or DC, cartoons or anime, this year's 2020 Funko Pop exclusives have a little bit of something for everyone.
